Namjoon POV
"Have a great day!"
I glance back towards where Yoongi's been on the shop phone, curious as to what it had been about. When he turns around, there's a certain nervous excitement that floods his eyes, gaze meeting mine in a heartbeat once he's facing my direction again, and I can't help but to smile at him before returning to what I'd been doing. I quickly set the tray of November cookies down on the counter behind the display case, Jungkook grabbing two off of the tray himself as he bags them up and hands them to the couple on the other side of the counter.
"Joonie, you wanna take another stab at a catering order for me?" Yoongi breathes out as he heads in our direction. I look over at him as I continue to work to fill the display case, grinning at the hopeful shy smile that's splayed cross his lips.
"You know I'd be happy to, Yoon." I answer, feeling much more confident in my baking skills these days. Ever since the first catering order, Yoongi's had me handle a lot more baking, even during our busier hours, and after the enormous compliment Jungkook had unknowingly at the time paid me from the first large order, I'm feeling a million times more confident that this is something I can handle.
"Thank you, Joonie. I'm gonna go in back and get everything written out and organized, and then I'll trade you so that you can get to work on that." Yoongi informs me, still seeming so very giddy over this. It makes me proud, glad that Jungkook and I had managed to convince him not to give up on this idea. This will be the third order for catering, and I know Yoongi's caught how much easier it's gotten for us to handle it even though Jimin's still yet to come back.
As Yoongi disappears into the back, Jungkook and I share a look, both of us having recognized how much better Yoongi's begun to feel about taking these kinds of orders. We're currently surprisingly busy, but with the three of us all on shift, it'll be easy to handle the order and keep the front of the shop running smoothly.
It's just as I'm finishing filling the last of the display case that Yoongi emerges from the back again, small smile on his lips as he looks over at me before motioning with his head for me to head in back with him. I return the smile easily, following along so that I can see what we're up against this time. Yoongi doesn't bother to say anything though, biting his lip nervously as he hands me the paper and simply waits for me to look it over.
I can see the reason for his lack of words as I begin scanning the paper over, realizing that this is the biggest order for us yet. It looks like it's for a wedding that's happening in two days, and they're not only looking to have us provide a number of things for the reception, but they're wanting us to provide pastries for the morning after as well. My eyes widen as I scan over the list and the numbers that correspond to each item, taking a deep breath as I cast my gaze back up to Yoongi.
"Do you think we're going to be able to handle this? I know it's a lot, Joon." Yoongi mumbles, allowing his nerves to shine through since we're in the back alone at the moment. I give him a small smile though, reaching out to pull him gently into a tight hug. I can see the way it glimmers in his eyes, he feels terrible to be putting this kind of weight on any of us for the magnitude of the order, worries that he's going to let someone or another down.
"I think we're gonna be fine, baby." I murmur, rubbing his back in hopes to provide him some form of comfort. He doesn't hesitate in wrapping his arms around my waist, hold tight as tears begin soaking my shirt. I frown lightly at the feeling, hating that he's this nervous about it, leaning down and pressing kiss to the top of his head.
"You really think we're gonna be able to handle it?" Yoongi mumbles, lifting his head up so that his chin is resting on my chest as he looks up at me. His lips are pouted, eyes watery with uncertainty swimming in them. I smile down at him, running my fingers through his hair gently before leaning down and pecking his lips. I earn a tiny smile, and I repeat the action until he's calmed down and returned to snuggling his head into my chest once more.
"I think we're going to be able to handle this just fine, babe. I'll be here as much as it takes to get the order done on time, Yoon. I don't have in person classes for the rest of the week, so I don't have anywhere else to be or anything else to deal with." I comfort softly, still rubbing his back. He seems to calm down at all of this, soon taking a step back to be out of my hold as he takes a deep breath and rubs his hands over his face roughly.
"I think Jungkook and Tae are supposed to be free tomorrow too, since it's Friday. Maybe we can talk to the two of them when it slows down again today, see if there's any chance they can be here tomorrow to help out." Yoongi breathes out, slowly appearing to regain confidence in our ability to get this taken care of.
"And don't forget, Yoon. Some of this is for the morning after. It doesn't all need to be done today and tomorrow. If it takes a third day for some of this, we'll still be fine and it'll work out all the better for it. Okay? Now go get out there, and let me handle the mess back here okay?" I remind him, watching as a small smile forms once more. He rubs his hand over his face once more before he's nodding, seeming to feel better once more.
"Thank you, Joonie."
