"I'm so sorry I'm late!" I call out to Jungkook who's working behind the counter with Jimin at the moment. Jimin tosses me my apron from behind the counter, easily catching and pulling it on as I trade places with him.

"It's no big deal, hyung. I don't have dance practice today anyways, so it's not like I'm late for something." Jimin replies with a bright smile as I step behind the counter. I just sigh at this, shaking my head.

I still feel bad for running late even if it is my own shop, even if I really didn't inconvenience him that much, even if I am only five minutes late.

"I'd have been on time if it weren't for my professor. Some kid asked this question, which granted was an important one, but the professor droned on for fifteen damn minutes about it before deciding to inform us of the homework that we have due along with the next exam that's coming up." I explain as I immediately begin resuming my normal duties of working behind the counter.

"I still don't get why you're doing all of this, hyung. You own an extremely successful bakery that you could easily live comfortably off its income. Yet, you chose to go to medical school and you don't give yourself a break for a since second. You're working from daybreak or earlier, until after dusk." Jungkook pipes up as we trade places so that I can begin taking orders from the customers.

"There's nothing saying that I'll do anything with my degree. But I'd like to have it just in case, you know? I can't expect this shop to stay on its feet as well as it's going now for the rest of my life." I respond as I grab three pastries for the young mother and daughter stood in front of me.

"In no world does that make any sense to anyone, Yoongi. That's like getting a degree, knowing you'll do absolutely nothing with it, therefore meaning that you'll have wasted all of that money that you have to put forth towards tuition and supplies." Jimin counters from the first table on the other side of the counter.

I just give him a tiny smile as I give the older male across from me his change.

I don't bother to continue the conversation any further, knowing why they don't understand and why they never will.

"He-Heck, you don't even just own this place, hyung. You do piano lessons on top of all of this. I don't understand how you have time for everything in one week. Working the shop here, attending classes, giving piano lessons, spending at least an hour of your time every other day to play the piano just for yourself. I don't get how you have time to study or do homework or even eat or sleep for that matter." Jungkook says, being careful not to swear with little ears around. I smile over at him, knowing the two of them mean no harm.

"He's just the epitome of perfect time management skills, Kookie." Jimin responds for me as I greet the next customer.

"I like your hair, mister!" The little girl on the other side of the counter exclaims with a grin. I can't help but return the grin, the little girl missing her two front teeth.

"Why thank you. Yours is far prettier though. What can I get for you, sweetheart?" I chuckle lightly. She shakes her head at this.

"Yours is green like a mint! It's really really cool. Umm... can I get a cookie with this?" She responds, reaching up on her tip toes to lay out the little bit of change she'd had in her hand. My heart aches for the sweet girl, glancing quickly around the shop to see if I can spot who she belongs to. However, there's a man stood near the door, dressed sharply in a business suit with his phone pressed to his ear. I would never guess that the little girl stood in front of me could ever possibly belong to him, if it weren't for the fact that I catch him turning to glance at her impatiently.

"You know, that's actually way too much for anything here, honey. This-" I say picking up one of the coins from amidst the bills and other coins she set down, "-is all I need. I don't think a cookie would do you too well with missing those teeth of yours though, honey. Would a cupcake work okay?" I offer gently, hoping not to upset the girl. Her face lights up at this though, happiness and excitement clear on her face as she nods.

"And he's at it again. Being the biggest softy known to Seoul." Jungkook teases as I hand her the cupcake she wants.

I just roll my eyes at him, choosing to ignore his antics.
