Our day finished with a sort of happy ending. Joshua Kilmer was caught and charged. The girl hanging on the rope had a name and a family. Her name was Eliza-Jane McCarthy and her mother was the principal of the school. Breaking the news was hard to her, and Mrs. McCarthy's therapy started on the upcoming Thursday. Joshua knew Eliza-Jane was depressed, so he made it look like she hung herself. After cutting her down, we could see that she was strangled then hung. But, seventeen year-old Eliza had been having sexual intercourse with Joshua. He was paying her to do so and when she wanted to stop, homicide was the only option in Joshua's mind. The families had closure, that was the good part. Spencer took me home after getting praise from the team. I had been the one to track Joshua down. He had been hiding out at an old factory.

"Jess?" Spencer asked, snapping me out of a trance.

"Yeah babe?" I asked, ruffling his hair.

"What day does your therapy start?" he said quietly, putting his hand in mine.

"Wednesday," I replied, folding my hands in my lap.

"I hope you won't have any nightmares," he smiled sweetly, pulling into the apartment complex parking lot.

"Maybe you should spend the night so I don't..." I winked playfully, opening my car door.

He chuckled, coming around to my side.

"Are we ready for that in our relationship?" he asked, turning a slight hue of pink.

"Not coitus, Spencer. Just a friendly sleepover," I laughed, taking his hand in mine.

He laughed as well, nodding his head. We walked up to his apartment and my eyes widened.

"I'm just going to get changed into some comfy clothes and get Fang, okay?" I smiled, grabbing his other hand so I was holding both.

I pulled him close so our bodies were brushed up against each other's.

"I-I have to tell you something when you come to my apartment," he stammered in reply.

My eyebrows knitted together, my face turning from playful to worried.

"What is it, Spencer?" I asked, pulling away.

His beautiful brown eyes widened as he stepped towards me.

"It can wait. Just... Hurry back," he lied, adding a smile.

I could tell he was lying, making me feel untrustworthy. I nodded, blinking my blue eyes in confusion. I walked over to my apartment and unlocked it, causing Fang to spring off the couch. I shuffled into my room, changing into some black leggings and an old oversized sweatshirt I stole from Derek. It was just grey, nothing special. I brushed my hair and teeth, taking out my braid and straightening it.

"Meh," I mumbled to myself.

I wiped off my makeup and slipped on some old red converse, tying Fang to his leash. I sprinted over to Spencer's, nervous on what he had to tell me. I knocked on the door. Spencer ripped it open, giving me a smile.

"What's wrong?" I asked, not beating around the bush.

His eyebrows connected together.

"Your tone says you're mad at me, but your body language says otherwise," he replied, trying to pull me near. I pushed him off.

"I'm serious Spencer. Either you tell me what's eating you or I'm leaving," I snapped.

"Jessica. I have a proposition about our relationship..." Spencer sighed, sitting down at his kitchen table.

I sat on the other side, watching him put on his glasses. I bit my lip.

"I propose that we shouldn't show any traces of our relationship at work until we have decided to become a confirmed couple. Also, when we are in public, we shouldn't show too much affection. Not only is it frowned upon in our modern society, but if our co-workers may stumble across us on a date and we are kissing and such... You get the idea. When we are at our apartments, we can do whatever we want," he sighed, looking at me.

I leaned over and loosened his tie. Spencer's face went red.

"That's fine babe, now come meet me on the couch," I winked, walking over to his comfy couch.

He followed quickly, sitting beside me. I laid onto his chest, pressing my lips to his forehead. He chuckled, flipping us over. His soft lips pressed to mine. I started to undo his buttons, smirking to myself. His shirt fell open and he squeaked slightly. He covered himself up.

"I have to make you dinner!" he exclaimed.

He jumped to his feet and I shook my head. I grabbed his tie and pulled him close to me.

"Why don't we check out how comfy your bed is first?" I teased, pulling him to his room.

"J-Jessica!" he blushed.

I laughed.

"C'mon Spence," I smiled sweetly, pressing my lips to his.

He began to release his tense posture, following me. We got into his room and he kicked the door closed. His shirt fell to the floor. He pushed me down on the bed.

"I should really start dinner," Spence said quietly.

"After dinner, we're coming back in here for dessert..." I trailed off, hoping he caught my drift.

He pulled to close to him again, pressing his lips to mine. I looked into his deep, brown eyes. A smirk rose to Spencer face.

"Definitely."
