"Oh Spencer dear, people are going to think we're getting it on in here if you keep coming here," I giggled.
He cleared his throat and began to blush. I chuckled and fixed his tie. I began to pull him closer, biting my lip.
"You are so adorable, Spence. I can't wait until I get you home and-"
My phone began to ring. I pulled away. Spencer frowned.
"Calm yourself down under, sweetie," I winked.
He shook himself off and scratched the back of his neck.
"It's Jessica. Speak or be spoken to," I told the caller.
"Hey sweetheart. What do you got for me?" Derek asked.
"Turns out Mr. Psycho-dad here let Ariel survive because she was telling the truth," I replied.
"Explain a little more, hon," he sighed.
"Well I looked into the other girls who he killed and they had all done the 'bed dance,' with multiple people in the past year... and I mean multiple. Yeah they were kind of whores," I explained.
"That doesn't mean they should have been killed, of course! But that's why it happened."
"Does Ariel remember anything about the abduction?" Spencer asked me.
"No. She just remembers walking home and then waking up in a room. And my face. She woke up to my face," I replied quietly.
"Okay keep digging," Derek sighed, "Spence we'll need you here at the abduction site in fifteen minutes."
"I'll see you then," Spencer replied.
I hung up and he put his hands on my shoulder, giving me a massage.
"Thanks. This is getting so stressful," I smiled with a sigh.
"I know. We'll get him, Jessica. I promise," he replied.
I put my hand on top of his and let out another sigh.
"Have you heard from Ariel?" I asked as I began to dig deeper, pulling the other girls files.
"She's going to be released in a week. They will try to see if they can fix the cuts on her stomach without harming anything else. She'll be okay," he replied.
He bent down and kissed my cheek.
"I feel like it's my fault-"
"You need to remember it isn't your fault, okay? For any case. Not your fault."
I turned around and looked at Spencer. He knelt down to my level and looked at me. The way he looked at me with so much love and compassion made me feel special; it made me smile.
"I have to go," he said quietly, pressing his forehead to mine.
I gave him a passionate kiss and smiled.
"Go get him, Tiger."
