"Easy does it, Leo. You've got this. Concentrate. The whole world's counting on you... to break the pizza box stack record!!" It was nighttime on the Brooklyn Bridge. And a young Leo was balancing a whole lot of pizza boxes on his head as he made his way up it. "One hundred and twenty five boxes! You know, they say it couldn't be done, but look who's doing it, moi. You know that's Spanish for 'Leo'"Donnie appeared hovering with his battle shell, a certain human situated in its extra seat in the back. "Go ahead my non-lingual friend, count your unhatched fowl. My record stands until you reach the top," he pushed down his goggles, "which according to my calculations of wind speed, barometric pressure, and dew point is highly unlikely." He said matter-of-factly. "Wha-" he stated surprised, as the human brought their hands up and covered the goggles, blacking out Donnie's vision causing him to swerve slightly out of control from lack of vision. As Mikey swung up with his chains and landed behind Leo.
"According to my calculations, as long as you believe in yourself, you can do anything!" He said excitedly. Gaining a little "Woo!" From the human, as Donnie grabbed their wrists and forcefully removed their hands. Once off they stuck their tongue out at the turtle playfully, said turtle grumbled angrily, contemplating flinging them off.
"Thanks, little brother, and Y/n. No one believes in himself more than me." He says suavely, "Leo!" He begins to chant.
"Leo! Leo! Leo! Leo! Leo! Leo! Leo!" Mikey and Y/n joined in, both grinning at each other. Growing more excited as he neared the top.
Leo reaches the top, excitedly scrambling and ends up doing a sort of backflip as pizza falls all around them, a bird scattering off the top of the stack. Y/n shaking their head sadly at the loss of pizza.
"Yes! I am Leo!" He said, pumping his arms into the air as the others joined him at the top. The human got down off Donnie and joined the two brothers in being excited while Donnie stayed quiet and pouted, obviously upset by his defeat.
"Yeah, baby!" Mikey said happily.
"Sooo, Y/n, pretty impressive right?" Leo says smirking confidently, putting an arm around their shoulders. Inwardly he was extremely happy that the human witnessed his victory, and wanted their praise, but he didn't want to lose his suave face-man image.
Y/n smiled up at him "Yeah, that was awesome Leo!"
His heart did flips when they said that, almost short circuiting over their absolutely adorable smile.
He had to take a second to collect himself before responding 'Be cool Leo, be cool.' He thought to himself.
"Oh yeah? Well maybe-" He was rudely interrupted before he could say anything else.
"There you are! I've been looking all over for you guys!" Raph says as he arrives on top of the bridge.
"Oh hey, Raph! Guess who broke the record?" He says slightly frustrated that he didn't get to say what he wanted, but hey, he could always just ask Y/n later.
Right now was bragging- I mean, celebration time.
"What? How many did you-" Raph asked surprised, but stops himself, pressing a hand on his forehead "Stop distracting Raph! We're supposed to be training-"
"A-tuh-tuh-tuh. Hold that thought." Leo interrupts. He goes to Donnie, who is sitting on the ground, knees to his plaston, playing on his gauntlet device, "Donnie?"
"Donnie?" Mikey joins in copying his brother, as Y/n snickers.
"You, sir, have bested me. Mazel." He says halfheartedly. Y/n pats his battle-shell sympathetically.
