"What is this thing?" Casey questioned, looking around the Turtle Tank in awe.

"Hold onto your gluteus maximi!" Donnie said as we veered out into the street. Donnie was sat in the front left seat of the tank, Mikey in the front right. While Leo sat in Raph's normal seat in the middle. Y/n was standing to the right of Leo, gripping the back of his chair to steady themself as they turned. Leo blushed as Y/n leaned against his chair making their side brush against his forearm.

"The Turtle Tank, baby!" Mikey exclaimed, throwing his arms in the air excitedly, " It's how we roll in the past- I mean, the present! I mean-... Time travel is confusing." He said, sinking back into his shell slightly. To which Y/n chuckles slightly.

"They're on the move. According to the subcutaneous tracker I put on Raph-" Donnie said, pulling up a holographic map with a blinking red marker of Raph.

"Wait, does that mean you put trackers on all of us?" Leo questioned, everyone narrowing their eyes at Donnie, as he sunk into his seat slightly.

"No? No... of course I did..n't." He said unconvincingly, before trying to quickly move on,  "Based on their trajectory, they're headed-"

"To the tallest building in the city." Casey finished, brows furrowed.

"That's right, Metro Tower." Donnie nodded slowly, transferring from a 2D map a 3D hologram of the city showing the tower.

"I heard the story so many times as a kid, but I never thought.." His expression darkened, "'And behold, from their perch atop New York City, the Krang ripped open the sky itself. What came out was terror and what rained down upon us was worse than death.'"

A brief silence fell over the Turtle Tank, as they all processed this. Y/n wrapped their free arm, that wasn't gripping Leo's chair, around their waist in a form of self comfort, the backs of their fingers brushing against Leo's arm. Leo, silently side eyeing them, noticed their shift of posture, and he moved his hand to their hand, subtly rubbing a finger against their knuckles to try and silently comfort them.

"They told that to kids?! Man, the future is harsh!" Mikey exclaimed, sinking back into his shell.

"Jeez." Y/n murmurs, wrapping their pinky finger around Leo's finger, feeling their stomach churn.

"Well, I'm not gonna let that happen." Leo said subtly squeezing their finger, "We need to get into Metro tower without being spotted? We'll take the subway tunnels."

"Subway tunnels don't offer much, in a way of an escape if we need it. Are you sure about this?" Donnie commented.

"Yeah, maybe we should go-" Mikey started.

"Guys, we're doing it my way. Remember?" Leo mentioned, the arguments dropping to silence.

After a few minutes of dull silence, Leo turned to Y/n, eyeing their bandage. "How is your arm feeling?" He asked quietly.

"Yes, I too wish to know how your injury is feeling, are the bandages too tight?" Donnie pipped up, spinning around for a second to face Y/n.

"Hm? Oh it's fine, seriously, I'm alright, I can barely feel anything." Y/n said, glancing at them both with a small smile. Donnie nodded, twisting his chair back around to face the front.

"Alright, good." Leo said with a nod.

A couple moments later they entered the subway with a bump, justling the group slightly.

"See? Smooth sailing. We'll have Raph in no time." Leo said, mostly to himself.

"I hope he's okay. How are we gonna find him once we get there?" Mikey implored.

"I have a lot of questions regarding 'once we get there'" Donnie chided, side-eyeing Leo.

"Relax guys. We'll do what we always do. Ninja in, ninja their faces, ninja out." Leo says with a wave of his hand.

"That's exactly how you freed all those families from the Krang labor camp!" Casey recalled almost excitedly.

"Yeah, that sounds like me." Leo says seriously.

"In the future, you guys are beyond amazing. The mystic powers you're able to harness from within are on a whole other level." Casey said, looking around at all of them.

"Of course! How have we not asked about my future? Don't let me down. I'm expecting big things from me." Donnie said, turning on autopilot and standing up, "How many Nobel prizes do I have? No, don't tell me. I wanna be surprised." He said sitting back down and leaning back in his chair.

"Donnie, you were the most brilliant innovative mind of all time." Casey expressed with a tight smile.

'Were?' Y/n questioned silently.

"Unshocked, I am. Go on, continue to meet my expectations." Donnie says, putting his feet up.

"What do I do in the future?" Mikey asked excitedly, basically with stars in his eyes.

"You are the most powerful mystic warrior the world has ever known. With those two hands, you sent me back in time." Casey said motioning to Mikey's hands.

"Wow.." Mikey said in awe, looking at his hands, then extending them out in front of him, concentrating.

This brought to mind the last time Casey had seen Master Michelangelo, bringing up the fact in his mind that all their future selves are dead.

"Actually.. There is something I should tell you." Casey began.

Then the Turtle Tank braked abruptly, causing the group to fall forward, Donnie and Casey's faces ending up pressed against the windshield.

"Auto brake, engaged." The Turtle Tanks' Ai system said. They all collected themselves, looking out the windshield. Seeing what looked like a subway station... but covered in strange vines dripping from, everywhere really.

"Wow, think we're in the right place?" Leo asked sarcastically.

"Looks like the Metro Tower Station is on the other side of those vines." Donnie commented after checking the holographic map.

"Great. Let's hoof it." Leo said, standing up. His pinky still linked with Y/n's, pulling them towards the door, which they compiled too.

"Through the disgusting, drippy slime jungle?" Donnie asks in an exasperated tone. To which Leo whips his head around, narrowing his eyes into a glare at Donnie. "I know, I know. Leo knows best, but I'm not sharing my hand sanitizer."

"Awww..." Y/n says with an exaggerated sigh.

"Y/n being an exception." Donnie relented, earning a smile from Y/n.

As they all exited the Turtle Tank, Donnie turned on his battle shells flashlights, giving them a bit more view of their surroundings. Which, to be honest, wasn't great for group morale, since it was honestly creepier when you could actually see things.

"Feeling a lack of rush in this rush hour, right?" Leo says, looking around. Pulling out one of his katanas with one hand, and fully intertwining hands with Y/n with the other.

"I don't know, Leo. something feels... off." Donnie mutters.

"You can say that again." Y/n agrees, squeezing Leo's hand, and drawing out their tessen.

"Don't worry. I won't let us die. I'm a mystic warrior!" Mikey says grabbing onto Donnie, basically laying over his battle shell.

"'I feel better already,' he said without a hint of sarcasm." Donnie said sarcastically, as he shrugged Mikey off, making Y/n chuckle quietly.

Look, the stairs!" Leo says pulling away from Y/n to walk closer to the stairs, "Sneaking in below was the right move. Those slimeballs will never see us coming!"

Eyes in the Krang growth on the wall open and begin glowing behind Leo. Everyone gasped, horrified, as they looked up. Leo, hearing this, turns around immediately, and tentacles shoot out at him from the wall behind him.

"Leo!"
