Peacemaker found Thistle sitting beside Mandarin, his head in his talons.

"What's wrong?" Peacemaker asked him, and Thistle jumped. "Nothing!" he snapped, and put his head in his talons again. bandages were covering the rainwings chest, soaked in blood and a yellow juice.

"They put brightsting cactus on the wound to heal it, but it'll leave a scar," The sandwing said mournfully. Peacemaker tipped his head.

"You sound sad," he said, taking a step closer to him. "It's not your fault of anything," Thistle seemed to tense up and he looked at Peacemaker in irritation, regret and fury.

"But it is!" he blurted, and Peacemaker took a step back, startled. "What?" he asked, confused.

Thistle looked terrible, like he had stayed up all night to watch over the injured dragon. "The night that Mandarin was hurt, i was there" Peacemaker's heart thumped in his chest.

"What?"

Thsitle flicked his tail from side to side. " I don't know what happened, she just attacked me," he siad quietly. "I was just defending myself."

Peacemaker gaped at him. "A-are you saying..."

"Yes. I did this." Thistle interrupted. "I wish she could forgive me..."

Mandarin blinked. A bright evening light was shining through the windows. A rainwing was busily working on something beside her.

Wait, she thought, wasn't i in a cave a moment ago? The rainwing was cleaning something on her torso, and suddenly a sharp pain shot through her chest.

"Watch it!" she snapped, and the rainwing jumped back I surprise. "Oh, good." he said simply "You're awake. Thistle has been with you almost the whole time you were out, but he's in class now."

Anger flooded through her brain. Thistle, that jackass! He did this to me, why would he care?!  The rainwing - probably a healer of some sort - glanced at her red scales.

"You should be fine to go to your class, history with Webs," Mandarin groaned inwardly at the thought. Great, learning stuff I have already learned, she thought, huffing.

She sat up, wincing to the uncomfortable feeling on her healing wound. "Keep the bandages on," The rainwing advised. Mandarin turned to go, but then paused.

"Wait," she said, and the healer looked up. "Yes?" he asked, and Mandarin sighed.

"How long have I been out for?"

"Three days. You woke up a few times muttering 'kill them all', but its only from the shock."

"What."

"I've been out. For THREE FREAKIN' DAYS?!"

"Uhhh... yep?"
