"Hello!" Clay greeted her warmly. Manda noticed that Thistle, Dusky, Fern, Auklet, Cliff, Peacemaker and Cedar were already there. Peacemaker seemed to be absolutely fine apart from a shallow scratch trailing along his side.

"EEK! our first real lesson!" a high-pitched voice squealed, and Bumblebee and Mink walked in excitedly. "Hi Clay!" Bumblebee exclaimed, her wings buzzing slightly. "Okay everyone!" Clay called, "Welcome to herbs and healing!" He passed a scroll around to each of the dragonets. "This is the anatomy of a dragon." he explained.

Mandarin rolled her eyes as he kept talking. She knew all this stuff already. She missed her father at home. she remembered when she got her first knife from Deathbringer.

"Keep it," he'd said. She'd stared at the knife in awe. It had a silver blade with emerald embedded into it. "Really?" she had whispered, and Deathbringer had nodded. Mandarin touched her pouch where the knife now lay. It was the lightest knife she'd ever had.

"Mandarin?" Clay's Voice snapped Her out of her daydream. "What's the major artery on a Dragon?" Mandarin yawned.

"Well, it depends on who you ask. I'd say the major one is the throat, which is the most vulnerable place for the dragon to be killed, but the tail could also be classified as the second major artery, am I correct?"

Clay blinked a few times and checked the scroll. "Um... yes, that is correct." he stuttered. The gong rang, signaling their lunch time. "Wow," Peacemaker said. "How did you know that?"

Experience, Mandarin thought, but instead shrugged, "I just do."

The yells of the prey center were becoming louder as Manda walked towards it. Suddenly, Warm talons grabbed her by the throaght and dragged her into the nearest cave. Mandarin didn't struggle, she needed to gather info, then she can beat the crap out of this stupid ass dragon.

She turned around with a bored expression. Thistle was facing her with a face full of rage. His black eyes glittered dangerously. "No one humiliates me in front of someone." he hissed, and Mandarin let her scales fade into her surroundings. This is probably the most stupidest thing a dragon would do.

"I don't give a shit about it," she growled, and slapped Thistle in the back of his head. Dazed, the sandwing stumbled back. She blocked the door as he tried to escape. Grabbing his throat, she pinned him to the wall threateningly. Thistle gasped for air as her talons gripped him tighter.

Kill him, her mind echoed, He threatened you. Mandarin shook her head. No, she thought. He's not worth it. she released him, but instead of leaving, he stared at her in a way that made her feel uncomfortable.

"How did you do that?" he asked in awe, and she faded back to her orange red and yellow colours. Mandarin stared at him as he came closer. She paused, an idea forming in her mind. "I'll tell you," she said, and he came closer. "How?" he said eagerly. Mandarin leaned in to whisper in his ear.

"Nunya"

She burst out laughing, and Thistle flicked his tail from side to side in annoyance. "I'm serious!" he growled, but that made Mandarin laugh even more. "What?" He finally asked, and She snorted. "Your face!" she giggled uncontrollably. What the hell is happening to me? she thought as she calmed down.

Thistle was obviously trying and failing to not smile. It kinda looked like he had stretched his mouth so much it was all squiggly, which made her laugh even more. suddenly she switched to a serious face.

"Midnight. Tonight. Five caves down from the Art room. Meet me there."
