Summer break was officially coming to an end. Two nights ago charles slept over after he came to my apartment during the livestream. Yesterday, i spent my time in the studio recording the song that i had written the day before . And today we were on his boat, just me and him, looking out at the water. Enjoying all the peace and quiet of being seemingly alone on the water.

"i was wondering, if you are able to of course, if you wanted to come with me to my races once the summer break is over" he said propping himself up to speak.

"you know i'd love to charles." i said looking over at him.

His eyes held such warmth and his presence filled me with nothing but peace. if it was up to me i'd follow him anywhere he asked me for however longer he wanted. He leaned forward, his lips touching mine in a soft sweet kiss. It was short but it was enough to start a fire in my chest. the flames rising to my cheeks which were undoubtedly bright red.

"Let me take you on a proper date ma cherie." charles said softly.

"i would love to." i smiled up at him.

As the boat was driven back to the dock we both checked our phones to see them filled with messages and missed calls. Apparently we weren't as alone on the water and someone had photographed us earlier.

My head started to spin thinking of everything that would come next. sure we knew it was out and that this would all happen eventually but i was hoping to post something ourselves to kind of take control of the situation. there was something so violating about something meant to be private being thrust out to the media like that.

It felt as though charles could ready my mind as he came over and intertwined his fingers with mine.

"this is okay ma cherie. at least now we'll be able to go out without worrying as much anymore." he lightly joked.

I cracked a smile at him and just leaned into his shoulder looking out at the city.

"this won't change anything right?"

"of course not Lina why would it?"

"idk i guess now it like makes things more official for us in a way i- i don't know you know what it was dumb im sorry."

"No Lina it's not look, I wanted to do this later but i think i should probably do this now."

Confused flashed through me as i tried to think of what he could possibly mean.

"I know it's only been a month and our lives are crazy and busy but I really really like where this is going and I wouldn't want anything to stop us from seeing where this goes. Catalina would you allow me the honor of being your boyfriend?"

I froze. the confusion and worry that we're previously flooding every inch of my body disappeared and was replaced by pure peace and happiness.

"So proper Mr. Leclerc. But yes i would love that." I said before wrapping my arms around his neck as he held on to my waist, spinning me around.

"wait this means i can finally do a soft launch!"
