"Lily I'm so stupid you will NOT believe what just happened." I said as I walked next to where she was sitting at the Williams garage."Okay slow down. Let's go to Alex's room come on." She said as she grabbed my wrist, gently leading me to Alex's driver room.
As we walked into the room she shut the door and turned to me. She signaled me to start talking.
"After I left Shawn with his people at Mercedes I had to walk here. When I walked past the Ferrari garage, I said hi to Carlos and kept walking. Alexandra must've seen me and she stopped me and told me she was a big fan-"
"A big fan! What the fuck?"
"I know! I panicked and was like thank you or whatever and then she asked to come to my show and I can't say no to her face. I mean she was being nice and I was the one who was mean to her before so I offered to have her sit with all the drivers."
Lily just looked at me like she was amused.
"So your ex and his new girlfriend are coming to your concert cause she's a big fan. Honestly that's iconic."
"Yeah other than the fact that most of the songs i'm going to sing are about how he literally broke me and how I felt like jealous of her."
"It really isn't that bad. You'll be up there with your new beau, which I still need to formally meet by the way. You'll have Sabrina up there, you won't be alone."
"But-"
"No buts. Respectfully, you have let this man derail so much of your life, the best thing you can do right now is sing those songs and embarrass him in front of all his friends. I don't trust this girl at all though. If we go out afterwards just keep your distance from them okay?"
I nodded and just slumped down on a chair in the room. We sat there catching up on all the months we were apart. Even as all the years went by and we would spend months miles away from each other, it still felt like we were 2 teenage girls gossiping.
We decided to get ready to watch the race. I texted Shawn and he said he was watching it from the hospitality area. I told him to wait there and that I would watch it with him instead. Lily wanted to watch from the garage today and there wasn't a lot of room so I decided it was for the better anyways.
