Upon arriving, Tengku Hassanal was greeted by the higher-ups in a much protocol style. Full with protocols. Both Sunny and Tengku Hassanal were in their uniforms.
"Good morning, Your Highnesses," The General approached the two of them with salutes.
Sunny and Tengku Hassanal salute back to the General before shaking hands with the General, Deputy Chief, Commander, and many other people.
Regarding official and military government matters, there are strict protocols that Tengku Hassanal and Sunny have to comply with. There are more escorts from the palace to the event venue, more seriousness, and more strict in all aspects.
As they walked onto the stage, Tengku Hassanal glanced at Sunny, who was walking behind him. He waits for Sunny until she walks together with him.
"Why?" Sunny asked him in a soft voice.
"I can't walk in front of a Colonel," Tengku Hassanal said.
Sunny raised her eyebrows and then smiled thinly.
Tengku Hassanal couldn't continue his training for 2 months previously, which made him still a captain. Sunny is already a colonel. She is 2 levels above Tengku Hassanal.
Instead of sitting down, they all stood up to sing the national anthem. After the singing, they all sat down, and the official event started. While the emcee was talking, Sunny picked up the program brochure.
There will be two people giving a speech later on. One from the General who approached them when they arrived just now and later on, Tengku Hassanal.
In front of where they were seated were around 500 army. All lined up with their own military equipment. It was hard to see if they were male or female. But Sunny knows that if there are some, they are the minorities.
Later on, it was time for Tengku Hassanal to give his speech. Sunny kept quiet most of the time because she was supposed to do that.
Sunny had a hard time keeping her eyes open. As she is currently in her 6th week of pregnancy, she gets sleepy very easily. At one point, Sunny reached out to her assistant to give her some minty candy to keep her awake.
