The house was quiet. Although it was two hours from the wedding ceremony and reception at 6 p.m., everyone was still chilling or talking. Some vendors were outside in the backyard, finishing up decorations and catering food.
Sunny was in Adelia's room, doing her makeup. They didn't hire a makeup artist or hair stylist for Adelia or the family, but Sunny insisted that she do her makeup.
At first, she wanted to hire a makeup artist and sponsor Adelia's makeup. But Adelia asked if Sunny could do it herself. Every weekend, they did a few trials and errors to see what suited Adelia and didn't.
Eventually, today, on the day Adelia gets married, Sunny does her makeup and hair. Adelia didn't ask for much for her hair—just curls and a little style that Sunny thinks is nice.
By 5:00 pm, Adelia was done with her makeup and hair.
"Finishing spray," Sunny said before spraying over Adelia's makeup.
"Final hair spray," Sunny said before spraying Adelia's hair.
Sunny looked at Adelia's makeup and nodded, "You're all good. Finally."
Adelia exhaled in relief and look in the mirror, "Thank you for doing this."
"You're welcome," Sunny smiled.
"Thank you so much," Adelia suddenly hugs Sunny.
Sunny chuckled and hugged her little sister back.
"I wouldn't be able to be here today if it wasn't for you," Adelia said.
Sunny laughed, "What the hell are you talking about?"
"I'm serious!" Adelia said, letting go of Sunny with teary eyes.
"Girl, don't you cry," Sunny pointed at her.
"I'm not!" Adelia exclaimed, huffing and fanning her eyes.
"I swear to God, Lia," Sunny laughed.
The photographer and videographer captured the whole scene on camera, making sure the memories are made while the bride gets ready in her own bedroom.
"Hi, girls," Christine peeked into the room.
"Mom! Look, she's crying!" Sunny pointed at Adelia while laughing.
"Lia, why are you crying?" Christine chuckled while walking into the room.
"Nothing," Adelia replied, sniffling and shaking her head.
"She's thinking of the reality and the past," Sunny said, packing her makeup.
"Just the bride's hormones," Christine said, approaching Adelia and rubbing her back.
