"You are currently 3 centimeters dilated. We'll keep you monitored every 10 minutes. Don't worry. Just try to rest when you can. You're going to need the energy later."
Sunny exhaled heavily and nodded.
"Alright. I'll leave first. I'll come back in a few minutes," said the doctor.
"Okay, doctor, thank you," said the Queen Mother, Tengku Hassanal's mother.
Sunny was lying on the bed, breathing through the contractions. She was more comfortable with not talking and focused on going through the contractions.
After about 30 seconds, the contractions subdued, and Sunny exhaled in relief.
"Hassanal is on his way from the event. Just be strong, okay, mama?" the Queen Mother said while holding Sunny's hand. Sunny smiled thinly and nodded.
The contractions started even yesterday afternoon. Sunny broke her water when she was washing dishes after dinner. After informing their doctor, the doctor advised Sunny to stay home until the next morning.
This morning, Tengku Hassanal has an important event to attend because he is the officiant. So, the Queen Mother came over to take care of Sunny and accompany her.
And then, during lunchtime, Sunny said she couldn't take the pain already. She wants to go to the hospital before she can't even stand up. Because of contractions, her legs are also in pain. All her muscles tense up.
So, they went to the hospital, and only when Sunny was admitted did they call Tengku Hassanal to inform him that Sunny had already been admitted to the hospital.
Sunny is currently 36 weeks, 4 weeks earlier than her due date. But it is understandable because she's carrying twins. When the body can't take it anymore, it's time to deliver the baby. Sunny and her family are aware of the early delivery.
While not in a contraction, Sunny just closed her eyes and took a nap. She has given birth twice and knows she will need all her energy for the push.
About 10 minutes later, Tengku Hassanal arrived at the hospital with his entourage.
