Sunny was at home, taking care of her twins, when she received a call from Adrian.
"Ian," Sunny greeted him on the phone.
"Pack your bags with the twins. You're leaving for the US in an hour. I'm on my way home right now," Adrian said. His voice sounded like he was rushing, and it was an instruction.
"What? Why?" Sunny asked, filled with confusion and curiosity.
"Now, Sunny! Pack everything now!" Adrian exclaimed before ending their call.
Sunny looked at her phone screen to see that the call had ended.
"Sarah! Siti!" Sunny called their house helpers. They rushed into the living room when Sunny called them loudly.
"Sarah, take care of the twins first. Siti, help me pack the kids' clothes and things. Right now. I'm in a rush," Sunny said as she quickly exited the floor and ran upstairs, followed by Siti behind her.
"Just use the two big suitcases for the twins' clothes and things," Sunny said as she entered her room and took her big suitcase from the closet.
"Sunny!" she heard Jasmine's voice.
"I'm in the room!" Sunny replied as she quickly unzipped her luggage.
"Did Adrian ask you to pack things, too?" Jasmine asked, running into Sunny's bedroom.
"Yeah, what is going on?" Sunny asked, confused.
"I don't know. He said it had something to do with the company. Cavin told Valerie the same. We're all packing," Jasmine said.
Sunny sighed, "I don't know what's going on."
They continued packing, and less than 15 minutes later, Adrian arrived home with a group of private bodyguards.
"Jasmine! Sunny! Are you done packing?" Adrian asked, running up the stairs.
"I'm nearly done! A minute," Sunny said, grabbing her backpack and handbag from the dressing table.
"What is going on, Adrian?" Sunny heard Jasmine asking Adrian.
"I'll tell you guys about it in the car. Right now, let's put everything in the car," Adrian said.
Sunny wheeled her luggage out of her room and looked at Adrian. She showed her confused face, and Adrian shook her head.
They loaded their luggage into the car, and Sunny got her twins.
They left the house in less than five minutes and headed to the airport. Adrian explained what was happening and why Jasmine, Sunny, and Valerie were to go to the US.
"The company right now is investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee," Adrian told them.
"I was just told by one of them and one of our accountants... We have over 17 million US dollars of tax that we haven't paid over the span of 23 years. And right now, our accountant unit is currently being investigated because two projects were found to be personally offered bribery to skip compulsory briefings, site visitations, and other things."
"What...?" Sunny muttered.
"You guys are going to the US. Mom is going back hometown for the moment. I want you guys to stay away from any media reporters. Cavin and I will take care of everything else. I've alerted Adelia about this. She's fine in Seoul. But you, Sunny, must stay away from the public's eyes. Just for maybe two or four months."
"For as long as we haven't settled this problem. We can pay those 17 million dollars. We're good. But the image is not good now anymore. There's no news about this investigation online yet. But in a few hours, there will be."
"And I don't want you guys to think too much about us here. Just live your life in the US in the meantime. Until I tell you that it's safe to return," Adrian said.
"Ian, we're family. This company is a family business. Why do you think we want to leave you guys to deal with this?" Sunny asked him.
"I'm not asking, Sunny. I'm telling you. It's for your safety. Sunny, you're not healthy yet. You're still recovering. I don't want you to be too stressed about these things. Cavin and I will handle these things."
"Just keep your life low. Keep minimal interaction with the public or nothing at all. The Anti-Corruption Commission will do anything to show all our weaknesses now," Adrian said.
Sunny sighed.

Sunny watched the children as they worked on their colouring books. The children are happy and excited to meet each other since they are cousins.
"Sunny," Jasmine called.
"Hey," Sunny replied and smiled.
"You good?" Jasmine asked her, looking at the children.
"Yeah, I'm good," Sunny nodded with a small smile.
"Adrian said that the house has been confiscated to be investigated for any documents or illegal things, accepting bribery or anything," Jasmine told her.
"What?" Sunny asked, shocked.
"So, right now everything is taken out. All of mom's decorations. Especially the China things that mom bought herself. Everything is being inspected," Jasmine said.
Sunny sighed while covering her face.
"Adrian and Cavin are staying at the resort in the meantime. The media reporters are already swarming our house. We don't know how bad this will be for our image," Jasmine said.
"It's all already on the news," Valerie sat with them and said.
"It's good that we stay here first. This isn't good news for you, and we don't want you to stress. I know that Adrian and Cavin will handle it all," Jasmine said.
They know that Sunny is one of the most important people in the company. She and Adelia are the sole owners of Shangri-La. If someone is to be arrested, Adrian and Cavin are the ones. Sunny and Adelia will be leading the company when Adrian and Cavin are testifying.
