3RD POV

It was a bright day, the sun's rays shone through the cave, and the trees swayed in the wind. Birds started singing, but they stopped when they heard a loud noise.

In the forest, there was a loud sneeze that echoed through the air, followed by repeated coughs. Inside a cave, the noise made Vivian, who was sleeping, jump up and squeal.

Vivian quickly turned her head to find the source of the sound. She soon realized it was Koyou, her panther husband, who was sneezing.

"Koyou, wake up," she said, gently pinching his cheek to wake him.

Koyou, who lay naked, next to Vivian was completely still. His eyes were tightly shut, and when Vivian tried to wake him, he didn't respond. It seemed like he couldn't wake up. Vivian realized something was wrong with Koyou. Her attempts to wake him were unsuccessful.

She got worried when she felt Koyou's body was sweating heavily, even though it was a cold morning. When she touched his forehead, she noticed he had a high temperature. His quiet groans of pain confirmed that he wasn't feeling well.

Then, Koyou weakly reached out his hand toward her and tried to open his eyes. The first thing Vivian saw were his faintly opened blue eyes. She hugged him gently, relieved that he was waking up.

"Baby, I..." Koyou murmured something, but Vivian couldn't quite understand his words. His speech was unclear.

In Vivian's eyes, seeing her husband stutter to her with his weak eyes trying to stay awake made her heart ache. Her husband laying in bed, being unable to get up was devastating.

Most of the time Koyu would usually wake up hours before her. She remembered that every morning her husband would go out hunting, when she was asleep.

By the time she wakes up from bed, the first thing she sees is Koyou's face. His ocean blue eyes affectionately staring at her. But not before that doting husband of hers gives her kisses and hugs.

"Don't talk anymore, just go to sleep, Koyou" Vivian hushed, placing her hand over his mouth to stop him from talking any further.

She knows that Koyou's saddened face looked like he was ashamed. In the beastworld, males are supposed to be strong and fend for their family. With Koyou's male pride there was no such thing of being sick, she knows that her husband didn't believe in getting sick. Since he is a five mark beastmen, Koyou believed he was immune to illness. But now looks like the sickness had gotten to him.

The immunity he thought he had, wore off.

Vivian held Koyou's weak hand that had reached out to her earlier. She connected their fingers and smiled at him. They laid together for a couple of minutes, with Vivian watching over Koyou until he fell asleep.

While he slept, she gently put a damp, cold cloth on his forehead to help cool him down. The soft meat buns and chicken soup Vivian had cooked for him earlier were devoured. The only things left on the wooden plate were the drips of sauce.

While she was applying ointment to her husband's body, Vivian noticed that she was running low on the medicine for Koyou's fever. She stood up and checked the wooden boxes in the corner, but inside, it seemed like her supply of herbal plants for making the medicine had also run low.

Vivian grunted, displeased at what she is seeing right now.

She knows that Koyou needs the medicine to get better. But she can't leave him here all alone. Vivian's head was going bonkers, she didn't know what to do. It was either to leave her husband in search of medicine or stay, hoping that he will somehow recover.
