Christina's POV
"Why are we here, Charlie?" I asked him as he helped me out of the car. He had brought me to Tete de Chien. It was just before Monte Carlo, and from up there, you could see all of Monaco.
"I just thought that it would be nice to sit here for a while. It has a nice view, " he told me as he led me towards the place he wanted us to sit.
"With racing, I haven't gotten the time to see you as much as I want to," he admitted as he pulled me close to him.
A small smile formed on my lips as I stepped even closer to him. My arms wrapped around his neck.
"I know. I've missed you too, my love, " I told him before I leaned in to kiss him.
Charles helped me to get through the rocks until we reached the corner where he wanted us to sit.
He placed me in front of him, in between his legs, as he wrapped his arms around my body and pulled me to lean against his chest as his head was on my shoulder.
I felt so safe in his arms. Everything felt so calm while I was there.
I knew we were there for the view, but I still closed my eyes as I leaned against him and enjoyed the comfort he was offering me.
"I love you," I whispered at him. Charles kissed my head before speaking up. "Je t'aime aussi, mon coeur."
"You know, I didn't have the chance to even grasp the thought that we are having a baby," he told me with a chuckle as his hands reached my belly.
It was still too soon for a bump to have formed. I was only something less than 3 months pregnant, so the difference didn't really show. But the feeling me and Charles got each time we thought of the little human inside me was there. It was noticeable to us and to our lives.
"I know you haven't spent so much time with this lately, but the summer break is close. Just be patient, " I told him as I caressed his palm that was against my hand.
"Do you know who has told me these words before?" he asked me as he looked at me. My eyebrows furrowed as I stared back at him.
"You're missing other women apart from me and your mom, Leclerc? How many told you that this month?"
"That's not what I meant. And you know it, " he replied with a small grin on his face.
"Yeah, I'm just teasing you." I chuckled, and he leaned to kiss me. Every single touch coming from him set me ablaze. Even if it was just a feather kiss.
"Seb told to be patient with you," Charles stated, and I looked at him, confused once again.
"Excuse me?"
"The night you got drunk during a race weekend last year, you told Seb by mistake that you only have feelings for me. But I didn't know. I was throwing a tantrum and wouldn't talk to you. So Lewis came to put me in my place. Seb was there as well. I admitted how smitten I was with you, with a dramatic way, obviously, and the only thing Seb told me was to be patient and that I'd be rewarded, " Charles explained to me.
I had never heard of that before.
"Little did you know what you were getting yourself into," I chuckled.
"Yeah. And the best part was that you warned me but I still went for it. I saw a red flag and went right to it." Charles smirked at me.
"Hey, at least I rewarded you at last. Apart from myself, I'm giving you a mini me as well, " I joked, referring to our baby.
"I hope it is a mini you." He stated.
"Why? You're scared to deal with a mini you? I'm sure our child will not be as stupid as you, my love. They'll have a bit of their mama's mind. "
