. . .3 DAYS LATER. . .

~Videl~

That afternoon, Sienna called Videl to tell her that she got her dress, and she was coming over, and to send Kane away so they could get ready together for the Cotillion at Videl's place. A couple days before, they had both agreed to meet up on the day in question. Sienna was going to help her with her eyeliner - teach her the mysterious magic behind the feminine art - as well as use her fancy manicure tool to do her nails. Kane grumbled about being kicked out when Sienna showed up, minutes later, to usher him out the door - with a huge, dry cleaning bag draped over her arm that contained her dress on a hanger, and in her hand there was what appeared to be a glittery tackle-box full of makeup and nail supplies. He gave her a withering look, but Sienna laughed it off.

"Bye Kane!" Sienna chirped, far too cheerful about shooing him away. "Adios! See you later!"

Videl swatted Sienna's arm playfully and reached up on her tiptoes to kiss Kane goodbye.

"I'll call you when Risa is ready to take our picture."

Kane smiled, his annoyance dissolved by her kiss.

"Okay, okay, I'm going." Kane chuckled when Sienna poked at him to interrupt his attempt to pull Videl in for another kiss.

As if on cue, a professionally-dressed woman passed right by him as he went to leave, with a rolling-closet cart that was lined with dresses in dry cleaning bags. She was chipper and smiley, with a too-tight ponytail, and she was wearing a laminated badge hung from a lanyard that had "Class C: Titan Council" in big letters on the front of it. She double-checked a digital tablet in her hand before offering Videl her portable sensor.

"Videl Terra?" the Council member asked, to confirm that she was at the right quarters, delivering to the right person.

"Yes!" Videl practically squealed as she swiped her wristband. She could hear Kane chuckling on his way to the elevator, her excitement audible even from down the hall.

"Alright!" The woman put her sensor in her blazer pocket and grabbed one the hanger-bags to hand one to Videl.

Videl took it from her, nearly bouncing with joy as she thanked the woman. The woman laughed and went on her way to deliver more dresses. Videl was too busy marveling at the dress through the plastic to be awed by the rolling-closet that seemed to follow behind the woman, as if programmed to do so, without her needing to physically pull the cart through the many hallways she would surely have to travel down today.

"My dress is here!" Videl yipped at Sienna as she ran inside to show her.

"Yay!" Sienna cheered, still surprised by Videl's excitement over something she used to despise. "We'll get dressed after we set our makeup, so we don't get stains all over our clothes."

Set our makeup? Apparently, Sienna had much more to teach Videl about makeup magic than she realized, because after they giggled through their application, Sienna pulled out a special spray that she explained would "set" their makeup, so it wouldn't smudge. It smelled like cherries and cellophane, but if it kept everything from rubbing off on their boyfriends' suits, then it was worth it. Sienna showed her how to use the manicure tool, so Videl could do Sienna's nails, after she had finished with hers. When she was almost done, she glanced up and noticed Sienna looking at her strangely.
