He watched as she stared at him, trying her best to stay neutral as she held resentment towards him. His eyes widened and he stood speechless at her unexpected appearance.

"And that's Dallas, or 'Dally' as we like to call him." Soda announced as he threw his arm around her shoulders and pointed to Dallas who still stood with shock. "Nice to meet you Dallas." She smiled, but he knew it was fake, for he could see it in her eyes, the resentment, the anger, the burning flame that pierced through him like a sword. Johnny gave her a quick glance of concern before looking back to Dallas.

"Who's this?" He acted clueless, as to not erupt the tension between the two. "Y/n Lee." She stood strong. "She's Johnny's new girlfriend." Steve blurted, once again causing a flustered Johnny to hide his face. Dallas, who now had a look of confusion and disbelief spread on his face, looked between the two, slight anger filling his mind for no apparent reason. "Good for you, Johnny." He now walked to the couch, acting nonchalantly as he did.

Johnny brought his view from the ground to Dallas with confusion as he sat down with no care, then to y/n, who also looked equally as confused. She merely shrugged at Johnny before turning to Soda, him quickly gesturing her to the couch. She reluctantly looked to Dallas before heading to the couch, sitting at  the other end of the sofa.

Dallas watched as she sat, but made sure he wasn't caught by her disowning stare. He examined her quickly, able to see her more clearly in the daylight than in the darkness. Her short white floral dress and lined blue vest complimented her body nicely and he grew a slight attraction toward her, but brushed it off, as he knew it wasn't real.

Her face looked similar, this time with an older and more mature appearance, much more captivating than before. Her makeup adorned her features and went great with the outfit which Dallas had been drawn too. She looked good, and he couldn't really deny that, but once again, he brushed it off as he instead looked to his front to watch the television.

Y/n's pov~

He was intriguing, and that was nothing to deny, even more in the daylight than the night. His thick hair, a lighter brown in the bright of day, was fluffy and fell over his forehead in wisps. His dark eyes, a similar color to his hair, glimmered, quite similar to how they did before.

However, I hated him, and that was one thing I couldn't ever deny, so I sat still staring at the television. Even when I felt his stare move upon my body, I kept my eyes glued to the screen as to not endanger myself as I once had many years ago. It was when I accepted him as my friend and first love that I had made the mistake, for I never knew he'd be up and out of New York only a short time after.

"Gilligan's Island", played quietly on the television but still audible enough to hear. I kept my focus on it, paying attention to each and every move the characters made. As the episode soon ended, both Soda and Johnny came to sit on the couch after a long conversation, Johnny between me and Dallas and Soda next to me. Soda draped his arms casually over the lawson back of the sofa and Johnny sat with his hands between his tight legs.

"Is Johnny a good boyfriend?" Soda turned to me and joked. I chuckled as Johnny became red. "Pretty good. Right Johnny?" I ruffled his hair as I returned a joke. At this he smiled nervously while avoiding eye contact. Soda merely laughed as he sat back against the couch. "I'm just messing with ya Johnny." I smiled, him returning the gesture anxiously.

"So when'd you move here?" Soda peered at me, once again bringing his back from off the sofa. "Monday night actually." I rubbed the back of my neck, my hair slightly causing a tickling sensation against the back of my hand. "Really?" He questioned with little shock, his eyes slightly becoming widened at my words.

I nodded then spoke, "Surprised?" He shrugged as he once again sat back. "You gained a boyfriend and," he counted on his fingers, muttering to himself the names of his many friends, "six other friends in five days?" I chuckled and shrugged. "Guess I'm just a social person." I crossed my arms with pride. "Guess so." He again shrugged before looking to the television screen which now played "Hogan's Heroes".

Time passed by in seconds and I had already gotten to know many of the "Curtis gang". Two-Bit struck me as the funny and immature type, Steve was fairly competitive and also immature, Soda was charismatic and fun, Ponyboy was smart and stubborn, Darry seemed mature and stern, and of course Johnny had been nervous and sweet. Although, I can't make to many assumptions about everyone, considering I had only met them today.

Dallas, however, was pretty standoffish the whole time I had been there, and it hadn't surprised me so I didn't think to care. I still hadn't spoken with him since Monday night and hadn't made any advances in that regard since.

"I'll take you home." Dallas finally spoke as I said goodbye and stood in the doorway. Johnny looked to me knowingly with question before looking to Dallas as he stood from the couch. I merely rolled my eyes at his gesture as I headed out the door, expecting him to follow. "I'm fine by myself ya know." I walked down the cement steps with my arms crossed as he closed the front door. He didn't respond but instead came to my side with his hands shoved deep into the pockets of his leather jacket.

The night was cold and quiet, like many others before. It seemed like a pattern in Tulsa, the days being blistering hot while the nights were goosebump inducing. As we both walked silently the chilly hit my body in breaths and made me come to realize that I had forgotten to bring a jacket, that both my arms and legs were bare and numb. I looked to Dallas while I shivered, his body was still and unbothered as he galavanted.

"What?" He suddenly turned to me, causing me to instantaneously look away. "Nothing." I muttered before it went silent again, another moment of the quiet night lingering upon us. "Why'd you want to walk me home?" I asked suddenly, looking to the floor to avoid eye contact. I felt his view stare to me as I spoke before it left once I finished.

"So you don't die." He answered quietly. I chuckled sarcastically before speaking, "Dallas Winston's worried about me? That's new. Tulsa really messed you up, huh?" I stared blankly at the pebble I kicked along the road. He laughed in a breath at my words as I looked to him. "Don't get to flattered. And no, Tulsa did not mess me up, I'm still tough." His whitish teeth peeked through his lips, something seldom that I hadn't expected from him. I chuckled at his words and smile. "Sure." I spoke once more before it once again went silent.
