The Chosen Ones (Hyunlix, Minsung, Seungin, Binchan)

Chapter 29

After hours of playing at the arcades, the 8 boys headed out for dinner. "That was so much fun!" Jisung said.

"Yeah," said Felix. "You're really good Sungie. You racked up so many zombie kills in that last game."

"Yeah well I am the zombie killing expert." Jisung says as he pops his collar. "So many kills under my belt."

"Someone's feeling themselves." Hyunjin says sarcastically. "I gave you those kills."

"You wish." says Jisung. "By the way, where are we going for dinner Lix?"

"Well, I was actually thinking the same place we went last night." Felix says. "I really enjoyed it, and so did the rest you. What do you say?"

"It's your day angel." says Hyunjin. "Wherever you want is fine by us." The rest of the boys nod in agreement.

"Well then, it's settled." Felix says as they all start to head towards the restaurant.

"Yay!" says Jisung, causing Hyunjin to roll his eyes.

"You act like you've never eaten before Ji." Hyunjin says as he messes Jisung's hair.

"Hey!" Jisung says, fixing his hair. "You know you love me Jinnie."

"Yeah, I love you." says Hyunjin. "Little squirrel." He pinches Jisung's cheeks, causing him to blush. Minho just laughs at the interaction between the brothers.

"You look so cute when you're arguing squirrel." Minho says, pecking Jisung's cheek, causing him to blush even more. This earns laughs from the rest of the group.

Once they arrive and order their food, Minho excuses himself to go to the restroom. Once he's done and is about to head back, he sees someone who catches his eye. "Mom?" He sees his mother sitting at a table with Mrs. Bang, as well as other socialites.

"Isn't that Minho?" says Mrs. Bang. "Hello Minho."

Minho bows. "Hello Mrs. Bang. Hello mother."

"What are you doing here?" Mrs. Lee asks.

"Celebrating Lix's birthday." Minho says.

"Felix's birthday?" his mother says. "It's today? Must've slipped my mind."

Minho's heart sinks and his blood boils. "You don't even remember your own son's birthday?" he says in a stern voice. He wants to yell so baldly but reels himself in.

"Oh Minho, you know I can't keep track of everything that goes on in both of your lives." his mother plainly says. Anger boils up even more inside of Minho. He needs to get away before things escalate.

"No mother, I guess you can't." Minho says as he walks away. Leaving his mother confused.

He makes it back to the table and tries to calm himself, but Jisung can already see something's wrong. "Is everything ok Minho?" he asks, concerned.

Minho smiles. "I'm alright squirrel." A stray tear rolls down his cheek. He wipes it away, but not before Jisung notices.

"Were you crying?" Jisung asks, even more concerned. What could've possibly happened? Everyone else takes notice.

"Lino, what's wrong?" Felix asks. Minho takes a deep breath before he speaks.

"Lix, mom's here." says Minho. "She's here with your Minnie, and some of their friends." he says this while looking at Seungmin.

"What?! says Felix. "Mom's here?! I'm gonna go talk to her." He's about to get out of his chair but Minho stops him.

"Lix, no." says Minho. "She...she didn't even remember it's your birthday today." He could already see Felix's eyes start to tear up, so he pulls his brother in for a hug. "Please don't cry Lix. We're all here for you, and we love. I don't want to you sad on your special day." He wipes off Felix's tears.
