The Chosen Ones (Hyunlix, Minsung, Seungin, Binchan)

Special Chapter 9

Hongjoong POV

Almost as if someone had heard my prayer, something happened. But not at all what I was expecting.

Suddenly, Ji-woo grunted, as if he had been stabbed in the back, but there was no one there. He was suddenly pulled back behind some old construction equipment. It all happened so fast no one had any time to process what was happening.

We could hear Ji-woo screaming, followed by what sounded like a sword being unsheathed. Then, there was silence. Everyone now had their guns pointed at the old equipment, when a woman suddenly emerged from behind.

She was quite beautiful, but there was something unnatural about her. Not to mention the fact that her entire body was covered in some sort of armor. On her right arm was a sort of gauntlet with a red gem in the middle. From that arm, a large blade was protruding from it, like if it part of the gauntlet. Then it simply retraced back into the gauntlet. Just what the Hell is going on?

When she fully stepped into view, she threw something at us. It didn't take long for us to see that it was Ji-woo's severed head!

"Shit!" said Si-hyuk as screamed in terror. "Shoot her! Shoot her!" he said as he pointed at the woman.

He didn't need to tell us twice. Everyone started shooting at this mysterious woman, but she just stood there, without a care in the world. Her armor suddenly spread to her face, covering it completely. It's hard to explain. It's almost like the symbiotic suit from Venom, but in body armor form.

The bullets merely ricocheted off the armor. We couldn't even make a dent in it. Si-hyuk decided to run away, but the woman had other plans. Her long hair came to life. It was a sight I wasn't prepared for. It looked like the hair of Medusa, but rather than snakes, it just hair. Living hair.

Her hair aimed and went straight towards Si-hyuk, grabbing him and pulling back to the woman. When he was close enough, he was greeted with a sword to his gut that passed thru his entire body. The woman then thrust her arm upwards, splitting him in half. It truly a sight of something straight out of a horror movie.

With both of their bosses dead, Mingi, Yunho, Yeosang and Jongho joined me and Seonghwa. It was so good having them back by our side.

"What are you all doing?!" Mr. Park yelled. "You should be protecting me!"

"How can we protect you against that?!" I say as I'm pointing at the woman, who's clearly distracted killing what remains of the other drug lords men.

Mr. Park points his gun at us. "Traitors and deserters will die!" he said.

No! He isn't going to do this! Not when we're finally together! I reacted as quickly as I could, and shot Mr. Park in the kneecaps. He screamed in pain as he dropped to his knees, and I kicked the gun away from his grasp.

"You'll pay for this Hongjoong!" Mr. Park yelled. "All of you will!"

"No, we won't." I say. "We never wanted this life. We were better off on the streets." We all try to find cover from the rampage happening all around.

We can hear Mr. Park yelling. "You ungrateful whelps!" He cussed us out more but we didn't hear him. His screams were drowned out by the chaos around us.

The 6 of us managed to hide behind a giant crane as we tried to figure out what to do next. In our current state, with the adrenaline rushing through our veins, we hardly noticed how much disarray the construction site was in. Machines twisted and bent unnaturally, some of them even crushed. Just what the Hell had happened here before?

After all of the other men were killed, the woman finally approached Mr. Park. She grabbed him by the collar, forcing him to stand up, and before he could say anything, she put her hand around his face and began to crush it.

Now this was truly a sight straight out of a horror movie. We watched in shock and horror as Mr. Park's head was crushed like a grape. Bones breaking, blood gushing everywhere, it's something I'll never forget.

When she was done, her face armor went away, revealing her face once more. She then started walking towards where we were hiding.

"Shit!" Yeosang whisper-yelled. "She's coming this way!"

"What do we do?" Mingi asked.

For once, I was at a loss. I didn't know what to tell them. I'm their leader, and I can't even get us out of this situation. But I had to do something.

"Look," I said. "I'll try to distract her. You guys make your way to the cars and get out of here."

"No!" said Seonghwa. "We're not leaving you behind! We're not losing you too!"

"He's right." said Jongho. "There has to be another way."

I could see my friends all starting to tear up. I hated to have to do this, but there's no other choice.

I place my hand on Seonghwa's cheek, cupping it. "I know I never had a chance to tell you this directly but," I pressed my lips against his in a short but sweet kiss. "I love you Seonghwa."

I always had feelings for him. They had developed over the past couple of years, but neither of us had the courage at the time to tell each other how we really felt. And working for Mr. Park only made things even more difficult.

I also saw Mingi and Yunho, as well as Yeosang and Jongho holding each other's hands as well. I had suspected that they had feelings for each other as well, but were in similar situations as me and Seonghwa.

"I love you too Hongjoong." said Seonghwa, as he embraced me in a hug. "I always have."

"I know." I said. "I just wish things could've turned out differently." I gave him one more kiss on the lips.

The woman was almost here, as I prepared to lure her away from the others. But before anything could happen, what appeared to be a portal opened up behind us.

"Now what?" said Yunho.

All of a sudden, we felt some sort of force pulling us into the portal, like a vacuum. Before we knew it, we were all sucked inside.

The portal had spit us out onto what looked like an ancient Greek temple.

"What the?" said Yeosang. "Where are we?"

"I wish I knew." I said. Could this day possibly get any worse?

"Greetings." We hear a female voice behind us.

We all turn around, guns ready pointing them at the stranger. We see 3 women approaching us. One of them dressed in white, the other in red, and the last one in black.

"There's no need for that." said the woman in white. "We mean you no harm."

"Who are you?" I demanded.

"I am Clotho." said the woman in white.

"I am Lachesis." said the woman in red.

"And I am Atropos." said the woman in black. "And we're the Moirae Sisters."

"And you have been chosen." said Clotho.

"Chosen?" I asked. "For what?"

"To save the world from 8 individuals who wish to destroy it." said Atropos.
