Changbin and Chan arrived at their destination, and they were in for a shock.
"Oh my God." Chan said as he examined their surroundings. "Are you sure this is the right place Binnie?"
"Yeah." said Changbin. "This is the address."
The was in fact in a bad part of town. The area was in even worse condition than the area of Changbin's old apartment.
"Man," said Chan. "These look like homeless shelters."
They looked almost like cheap motel rooms in the poorest parts of town. The spaces between all the doors wasn't that much, which led them to believe that these rooms couldn't be all that big.
The thought of his parents living in such a place made Changbin feel awful. How could anybody live under these conditions?
They finally reached the door where his parents were apparently staying. Changbin took a deep breath and knocked on the door. A few moments later, a woman opened the door.
"Yes?" the woman said. She was wearing old worn down clothes and looked like she hadn't been eating well.
"Mom?" Changbin said, tears welling in his eyes.
The woman's eyes went wide as she recognized the young man's voice. "Changbin?" she said, her eyes also full of tears.
"Mom!" Changbin said as he threw his arms around his mother's waist and hugged her tightly.
"Oh Changbin!" said Mrs. Seo. "My baby!"
When they parted their tearful hug, they all stepped inside.
"Honey, look who's here!" Mrs. Seo said.
Changbin's father, who was in the bathroom, came out to see his son standing there in front of him. "Changbin?" he said.
"Dad!" said Changbin as he hugged his dad tightly.
"How did you find us?" his dad asked as he hugged his son back.
"That doesn't matter dad." said Changbin. "What matters is that I found you. I've missed you so much."
"We've missed you to son." his mother said. "Oh, and who's your friend?" she asked as she saw Chan standing awkwardly in the room.
Changbin parted the hug. "Mom, dad," he said. "This is..."
"Bang Christopher Chan." Chan said as he extended his hand to greet Changbin's parents. "I'm his boyfriend."
Changbin's heart skipped a bit when Chan said this. He was nervous at first, but calmed down when he read his parent's minds.
"We're so happy for you son." his father said. "Our son has found love."
"Thank you both." Changbin said, teary-eyed. "He means the world to me. I'm happy you approve."
"Your happiness is all we care about." said his mother. "That's why we sent you to live with your grandparents. We weren't able to take of you. We didn't want to put you thru all that we're going through."
"That doesn't matter now mom." said Changbin. "We're gonna get you out of here. I can't stand seeing you guys living in a place like this anymore."
"Thank you son." his father said. "But we don't have anywhere to go. And we don't want to burden you with our troubles."
"What are you talking about dad?" said Changbin. "You're not a burden at all. This time, I'm going to take care of you."
"And I think I know exactly where you can stay." Chan said, looking at Changbin.
"Hyunjin's old house!" said Changbin. "That's an amazing idea Channie." He turned to his parents. "Come on, we're leaving."
The 4 of them left the decrepit apartment. As the were going to approach their car, they found themselves being surrounded by other transients and drug dealers from the area. They counted around 20 or so.
"Well what you we have here?" one the drug dealers said. "You boys seem to be quite a way from home."
"Yeah." said one of the transients. "It takes guts to come to these parts of town."
"Binnie, what are we gonna do?" Chan asks Changbin with his thoughts. "We can't let your parents see we have powers."
"I know Channie." said Changbin. "But I don't think we have a choice."
They really didn't want things to escalate, but things weren't looking good.
"Look, we don't want any trouble." said Changbin.
"You're in no position to decide that, pretty boy." said another drug dealer.
Changbin and Chan braced themselves for a fight. They weren't worried about themselves, but Changbin's parents.
Suddenly, the air around them grew cold and mist started to cover the area. Then something peculiar happened, it started to snow.
"What the fuck?!" said the first drug dealer. "Snow?! In the middle of September?!"
Chan and Changbin smiled, because they knew what this meant. Suddenly, a blur passed by, faster than anyone could see, ran circles around the street thugs surrounding the group. Every time the blur went by, the transients and drug dealers dropped to the floor like flies, until only the first drug dealer who spoke remained.
The blur stopped next to the group, revealing itself to be Seungmin.
"You've gotten better." Changbin says. "But you missed one."
"I meant to do that." said Seungmin. "Let's see if he takes the chance to make better life choices."
With Seungmin's words falling on deaf ears, the drug dealer points his gun at group. "S-stay away from me y-you freaks!" he says.
"Jeez, someone else calls us freaks." Hyunjin says as he casually approaches his friends with Felix by his side. "These people need need to up their trash-talk game."
"Get back!" says the terrified drug dealer. "Or I'll shoot."
"No, you won't." says Felix. "You don't want to pull that trigger.
"D-don't temp me!" the man said.
Almost on command, the man couldn't pull the trigger, or move his body at all. "Can't move!" he says. Suddenly, he points the gun at his temple, as he screams in panic.
"Do you still wanna pull the trigger?" Felix says.
The man couldn't even believe what was happening to him, that his body did the only thing it could.
"Gross!" Jisung said as he approached the group along with Minho. "This one peed his pants too."
"Ok Lix, I think we've scared him enough." Changbin says as he approaches the man. "He's learned his lesson. Haven't you?"
"Y-yes!" The man is able to say. "I've learned my lesson! Please, don't hurt me!"
"I can't guarantee that." said Changbin, as his hand began to to turn to rock. He snatched the gun out of the men's hand and crushed it. "The next time you do something like this to anyone, well, you can imagine what's gonna happen."
Changbin then backhanded the man, not too hard as to cause permanent damage, but to knock him unconscious.
"I'm sure glad you are here." Chan said. "How did you know how to find us?"
"Joel told us." said Hyunjin.
"Yeah, he said you guys might run into some trouble." said Felix.
"Changbin?" Mr. Seo said.
"Oh crap." said Changbin, as he turned his hand back to normal and headed back to his parents, who were clearly stunned by what they had just witnessed. "Mom, dad, we really need to talk."
