I often used to think that, miracles only come to special people. And that I was not one of them. All that I have been through, was something never going to end. I never thought I could come out of hiding to feel the rays of the sun over my face.
"Neev, stop it." I scolded my best friend who was constantly drenching me with water. Now, we are in Sicily for a project from my mother-in-law. "Or what, you will complain about me to your big bad fiancé?" He asked. "He is also my brother remember?"
"What are you Neev, five?" I heard his voice as he came out carrying two glasses for us. He had rented this seaside villa, for us. What Ronit names pre-honeymoon trip. But Neev decided to tag along to bug me anyway.
He leaned and kissed me. Neev made a gagging face. "Neev, you are supposed to be on that boat filled with wild, wet, and scantily clad girls, you call your models." His eyes followed us. "I am not interested in them Bhai. You have already booked the girl I was interested in. Now, you better hurry and get me a princess I can spoil with my love."
I shook my head. "For that, Neev you have to leave the two of us alone. It is supposed to be our pre-honeymoon trip. But you tagged along." He smiled. "Because Bhai, I exist to do that, I love to rile you up." I laughed. I have never seen Ronit and Neev so carefree. And once I thought I would create a rift between the two of them. But I realized that maybe I brought them closer than before.
"Ronit, you are supposed to prepare the guest list and send it to my mom," I said as I felt his lips on my neck when I was trying to work on the new design for the aircraft. Ronit closed my laptop. "Later, first I want to enjoy this with you, Neev had left for the shoot. Let me love you a little." He unbuttoned my dress pulling it over my head.
"I am so lucky, do you know? I have found the truest kind of love that I can get and that is something I never thought I could have. I am blessed, Pari. I have you." My eyes watered. "Ronit, if that night you had not come to save me, I do not know where I would have been. If not for you, not for Neev, I would have probably..."
I would be dead.
Or sold, or worse, who knows.
"How could I not have come Pari? Your picture, that Neev had given me, made me stop and look twice. It never had happened before. Everything was pulling me towards you. It was meant to be, you and I." He kissed my forehead.
"I love you, so very much." His lips met mine. His fingers intertwined with mine. "No matter how often I make love to you, it always feels like the first time. You are always and forever will be my salvation."
"Ronit", I moaned as his lips kept caressing my skin. "You are so beautiful. You are so mine. You are only mine, now and forever." I was so overwhelmed by his words that I hardly registered any more sensations passing through my body then.
He held my hands tightly over my head. I cried feeling his mouth over my nipple, biting it gently. "This is mine, and this is mine too." He kissed my navel. "This is mine, as well." He licked my skin making me squirm in his hold. "And this is mine as well." He whispered before he settled down over my warm core. I cannot do anything against his hold.
He moved back after he was satisfied. "Do you know what else is mine?" He asked and I felt him filling me and my legs wrapped around his waist. "What?" I asked. "You." And then his lips kissed mine again.
I woke up sore and in an empty bed. "Ronit" I called wrapping myself in the sheets. I heard his voice. "Yes, are you sure about this?" I placed my head over his naked back. He pulled me to his front and hugged me. "Thank you, you have been a great help."
