Aeris and the team arrived at Aoba Johsai.
"Wow, rich people," Tanaka said, looking around.
"My stomach hurts," Hinata muttered nervously.
They grabbed their bags and went inside the gym. The Aoba Johsai team was already warming up. Karasuno settled down and started their own warm-up. As Aeris observed the two teams, her anxiety grew. 'They won't win,' Aeris thought, feeling a knot form in her stomach.
"Are you sure we could win?" Shimizu asked quietly.
"Don't tell them, but I don't know," Aeris said honestly, causing Shimizu to worry.
"Coach, do we really have to play with them?" a member of Aoba Johsai said dismissively.
"Why do we have to? This is so embarrassing," another member said.
Aeris glared at them, clenching her hand. Tobio realized she was pissed and stood up. "Nana-chan, no."
"Move, Tobio," Aeris said, marching towards the Aoba Johsai coach. The team was shocked at her boldness.
"Hi, Coach, I am Kageyama Aeris, their coach," Aeris said, bowing. "Coach, this is a professional setting, and I don't appreciate what your team is saying. If you don't want us here, we're out. This is rude, and it's intentional. At least be respectful. They might not be fighting back, but I will. If your team continues disrespecting my team, I won't tolerate it."
The coach was shocked. He stood up and bowed. "I'm sorry for my team. Please feel at home. I'll teach them better."
The two members bowed and said their apologies.
"Don't apologize to me; apologize to them," Aeris said firmly. They did as she instructed, bowing and apologizing to the Karasuno team.
Aeris's team's jaws dropped as they watched her handle the situation with such confidence and assertiveness.
Tanaka laughed, "Ae-san, that was amazing. I want to learn to be as cool as that."
The team nodded in agreement, impressed by Aeris's ability to stand up for them.
"If people continue to act like that, I won't just stand by," Aeris said firmly.
Aeris calmly said "Alright, everyone, let's take a seat and relax for a moment. We need to get in the right mindset for this match."
Shimizu nodding "She's right. Panicking won't do us any good. Remember what we practiced."
Hinata looking nervous "But, I've got this weird feeling in my stomach..."
Aeris concerned "Hinata, it's probably just nerves. That happens to the best of us. Take some deep breaths."
Shimizu handing Hinata a water bottle "Here, drink some water. It might help settle your stomach."
Kageyama fidgeting "What if our strategy doesn't work? What if we can't beat Aoba Johsai?"
Aeris smiling reassuringly "Tobio, trust in the plan we've prepared. And trust in each other. We've come a long way."
Daichi firmly "We've scouted Aoba Johsai thoroughly. We know their weaknesses. Stick to the plan, and we can do this."
Tanaka pounding his chest "Yeah, guys! We've trained hard for this. We're Karasuno, and we fight till the end!"
Aeris encouragingly said "That's the spirit, Tanaka. Remember, volleyball is a team sport. Lean on each other, and you'll find your way"
As the game approached, Karasuno found themselves on the losing side. Everything seemed chaotic, lacking teamwork and coordination.
As Hinata was about to serve, he accidentally hit Tobio in the head, causing everyone to laugh.
Aeris called for a time-out. "Why can't you serve properly, you dimwit? Are you okay? Want me to teach you? Why are you so stupid?" Tobio exclaimed in frustration.
"Hey, calm down, Tobio. Why are you blaming Hinata?" Aeris interjected. "Calm down, believe in yourselves, and continue fighting. It's a team effort, not an individual task."
With Aeris's encouragement, they regrouped and made some progress. Suddenly, a guy with brown hair swept outwards entered the gym.
'So, that's Oikawa, whom Tobio talks about a lot,' Aeris thought to herself.
Aeris visited her cousin Tobio in Miyagi during the summer. They were currently playing volleyball together.
"Nanachan," Tobio said, "there's this dude who's my senpai. He's your age, but I don't think he likes me."
Aeris paused, intrigued. "Who?"
"He's Oikawa Toruo, with brown hair that's swept outwards," Tobio explained.
"What about him?" Aeris asked.
"I really don't know. He just seems to hate me. I want to learn from him because he's good, but he doesn't like me," Tobio expressed his frustration.
"You know what, just be the best version of yourself. If he doesn't want to be with you, be comfortable with who you are," Aeris advised him with a reassuring smile.
