Aeris stood before the faculty office, nervously awaiting her introduction to the class.

She'd barely had time to catch her breath after her rushed morning, and her heart still raced from the sprint to school.

"Oh, you must be Kageyama Aeris?" Fumiko-san, a kind-looking teacher, asked as she stepped out of the office.

"Hai! Konnichiwa!" Aeris greeted, bowing respectfully.

"Yoroshiku onegaishimasu," Fumiko-san replied with a bow of her own.

"I thought you wouldn't make it," Fumiko-san said with a smile. "And you're already wearing the school uniform."

"Gomenasai, and yes," Aeris apologized with a slight bow. "There was a little bit of an emergency."

"Are you fine?" Fumiko-san inquired, her concern evident.

Aeris nodded reassuringly.

"Shall we go to the classroom?" Fumiko-san asked, her brows furrowing with worry.

Aeris smiled and nodded.

"Okay, let's go, or we're gonna be late," Fumiko-san urged.

Aeris bowed politely to her teachers before following Fumiko-san outside.

As they walked through the school's corridors, Fumiko-san initiated a conversation. "Can I call you Aeris-chan?"

"Yes, of course," Aeris replied with a warm smile.

"Okay, Aeris-chan, I hope that you'll like this school," Fumiko-san said.

"I will," Aeris responded, her voice filled with determination.

Fumiko-san smiled at Aeris. "Great."

They came to a stop in front of a classroom with a label that read 'Year 2 - Class 3.'

"We're here, and I'll introduce you to the class before you come in, okay?" Fumiko-san instructed.

Aeris nodded, trying to hide her nervousness behind a mask of confidence. She wiped her sweaty palms on her skirt while repeating reassuring words to herself in her mind. "It's fine, it's fine."

"So, this will be the beginning of my new journey," Aeris murmured to herself. "Ganbatte."

"Aeris-chan, please come in," Fumiko-san called, gesturing towards the classroom door.

Aeris took a deep breath, steeling herself for what lay ahead, and then she stepped inside.

"Okay, class, this will be your new classmate Aeris-chan," Fumiko-san introduced, drawing the attention of the entire class.

Fumiko-san signaled to Aeris that it was her turn to speak.

"Konnichiwa, watashi wa Kageyama Aeris, hajimemashite," Aeris introduced herself with a respectful bow.

The students responded with a round of applause and a few excited comments. Aeris chuckled at the random noises that emanated from the class.

"Shhhh! Mina, keep it quiet," Fumiko-san hushed them, trying to regain control. "Why don't you sit beside Ryota-kun?"

"Lucky!" one random kid exclaimed, causing the entire class to erupt in laughter.

Aeris nodded and made her way towards the empty seat beside Ryota, who offered her a friendly smile.

⊂•Break Time•⊃

During the break, Aeris was organizing her school materials when suddenly, a boy sitting across from her whipped his head around to face her, catching her off guard.

"Are you somewhat related to Tobio?" he asked abruptly.

Aeris blinked, not expecting such a direct question. She awkwardly nodded and answered, "Yeah, he's my cousin."

The boy introduced himself, "Nice meeting you. I'm Tanaka Ryūnosuke, his volleyball senpai."

"Konnichiwa," Aeris greeted with a polite bow.

A girl named Sakura, who sat beside Ryunosuke, introduced herself as well.

Soon, the other students seated around Aeris introduced themselves and began asking her various questions. Some questions were innocuous, but others delved into more personal territory, making Aeris wish they wouldn't.

Aeris was naturally extroverted and enjoyed conversing with others, but she felt uneasy when people asked probing questions that she wanted to avoid.

Questions like, "Why did you transfer?" hung in the air, and she couldn't bring herself to lie outright.

Instead, she opted for a vague response, saying, "Well, I just like being in a quiet place." It wasn't entirely false; she did prefer tranquility, but the real reason was far more complicated.

Before she could be subjected to another awkward inquiry, a student in the back of the room shouted, "Mina, please quiet down; I'm studying."

The class fell silent, and people exchanged glances. After a few moments, the chatter resumed, but it was considerably more subdued.

A girl nearby informed Aeris, "Don't worry, that's our class president, Naoko-chan. She's a bit uptight sometimes."

As the break continued, Aeris couldn't help but think about how these interactions were shaping her new journey at Karasuno High School. It was certainly an interesting start, and she wondered what the future held in store.
