This is in Zelda's POV:

I wake up to the sound of my 6:00 alarm, I turn off my alarm and slowly get out of bed. I'm so tired, I probably shouldn't of stayed up until 2:00 in the morning reading "Pride and Prejudice" for the 500th time, but it's such a good book, how could I resist! Even though I'm not really looking for someone to date right now, I can't stop thinking about having someone like "Mr. Darcy". Having someone to take care of me, but not control me... to love me for who I am... But enough of these silly thoughts, I don't need a man in my life right now, and I definitely can't have anyone distracting me from completing my senior year.

I walk over to my closet to grab a cute cropped white lacy top, faded light blue jeans, and a light gray cardigan, and walk over to my bathroom next door to my room. As I walk to the bathroom i get stopped by my father. My Father is the mayor of Hyrule, many people at school think I don't even need to try in school, they think that my grades are paid off, if that could actually happen. I try not to pay attention to what people say at school, but I can't help it. Why can't people just mind there own business.

"Zelda, are you almost ready for school, you have to leave in an hour."

"Yes Father, I was just about to take a shower." I reply a little annoyed.

"Zelda don't take that tone with me, I just want to make sure you are not late to your first day of school."

"Don't worry Father, I won't be late." I say, trying to give the most convincing smile to my Father.

I walk in to the bathroom and shut the door behind me.

Why does my Father have to treat me like I'm 8 years old. I'm almost 18 years old, I am completely capable of getting myself ready, and arriving to school on time. I turn on the shower head, and take a quick shower, dry myself off, get dressed, blow dry my hair, apply some make-up, and walk out of the bathroom. I walk down stairs, grab my keys from the basket by the door, and walk out the door to my car. I don't really ever eat breakfast, I'm just never hungry in the morning.

I finally arrive to school, it takes me about 15 minutes to get to school, school doesn't start until 8:30... and it's 8:00 right now. And Father was worried I wouldn't make it to school on time. When am I never on time, because of my Father, I have never been late to anything. He raised me to be a strong, punctual, and independent woman. While I am thankful that he raised me like this, I wish I could've had a somewhat normal childhood.

I walk up to a nearby bench and sit down. I pull out my phone and text Impa and Purah:

*Hey, I'm here at school. Let me know when you get here.*

Impa: *Me and Purah are here.*

*Where?*

*Behind you.*

I turn around to find Impa and Purah standing right behind the bench I'm sitting on.

"Oh my gosh!! I feel like it's been forever since I've seen you guys!!" I squeal happily.

"You literally saw us two days ago." Impa says sarcastically.

"I know, but I've missed you guys."

"Awww, we missed you too Zelda! Hey let's all take a picture together, like a first day of school picture." Purah says jumping up and down.

"No, we don't have to..." I start, but Purah and Impa are already sitting down on the bench, and Purah begins to count down:

"1... 2... 3... SNAP! CLICK!"

"Purah, can I please see the picture?"

"Hmmm, let me think... No, I don't think you can princess." She says playfully.

She knows I hate it when they call me that. Being called a "Princess" just makes me feel like I have to be so proper and uptight all the time. I mean I kind of already am, but I don't need to be reminded of it.

*RIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG*

"Oh no! That's the bell, I'm going to be late for 1st period!" I say as I quickly stand up.

"You really are a princess." Impa says as she and Purah slowly get up.

I roll my eyes at her, and walk with them into the school.

___

I walk into my English class, and sit down in the third row of desks, that way I'm close enough to the teacher to hear her, but far enough that she might not notice me. I am the first one in class, but after a few minutes more people start to come in and find open seats. Most of the seats are filled up, except for two, the seat to the right of me, and one way in the back. As the late bell rings a boy I have never even seen before runs in with slightly wet hair. He is carrying a dark blue backpack, and black gym bag. He looks around the classroom for empty seats, he looks to the back, and then to the one next to me. He then starts walking over to the desk next to me. As he sits down, I smell a strong scent of chlorine coming from him. Great... I have to sit next to someone who is going to smell like pool water everyday.

"Hello everybody, welcome back to Hyrule High! I am your teacher, Mrs. Bisky, and I will be your AP English 12 teacher this year! Now, we won't be doing any actual work today..." Oh good, I am way too tired to do English at 8:30 in the morning. "but I would like to take roll to make sure everyone is here. Ok, let's see..."

Before she could call the first name Impa walks into class. I give her a "what the heck are you doing here" look when she says:

"Um, hi... Sorry I'm late, I accidentally went to the wrong class."

"No worries, we excuse tardies on the first day of school. Just find a seat please, miss...?"

"Kakariko, yes I know it's a weird last name." Impa says as she sits down in the back. She looks over at me and mouths the words, "Hi Princess" and gives me a tiny wave. I smile and roll my eyes at her, and then turn around to pay attention to the teacher.

"Ok, thank you... so Impa is here then." says Mrs. Bisky as she writes on her clipboard. "Ok so let me take roll and then the time is yours. Emily Abbott."

"Here." A girl in the back says quietly.

The teacher keeps calling names, and then she says:

"Link Densetsu"

The boy that sits next to me raises his hand. Link...? That's a nice name. I look over at him and notice he has a silent princess key chain on his backpack. I love silent princesses! They are such a beautiful flower. The silent princess is a rare endangered species. Despite many efforts, Hyrule's most skilled scientists can't get them to grow domestically yet.

"Zelda Hyrule..."

"Oh!" I jolt my head towards the teacher, "Um, present!"

When the teacher is finally done calling names she lets us talk with our friends or go on our phones, Impa is in her seat talking and laughing with a bunch of other people. I don't know any of them, nor do I want to interrupt her conversation so I pull out my phone and scroll through Instagram.

*Snapurah042 just posted a photo* my phone reads.

That's Purah! I click on the notification and I see Impa, Purah, and I in the picture. Oh my Hylia, she did not actually post that photo did she?! I didn't even get to look at it to see if I was smiling or if my eyes were closed! But, to my surprise, I actually look kind of cute, I guess. Out of the corner of my eye, I look at Link, and he is looking at my phone! Trying to nonchalantly tilt my phone's screen out of his view, but I end up dropping it on the floor at his feet. Nice going Zelda. As I try to reach for it, Link picks up my phone, and glances at the screen as he hands it to me.

"Oh, Thank you." I say shyly.

He just nods and goes back on his phone.
