Link's POV:

It's currently 6:43 in the morning and I'm wide awake... just lying in bed. I always skip swim practice on game days... I need to be in the right head space. Coach Hudson doesn't mind, he's aware that I play many sports. When swim season starts in the spring I will focus on swimming... but right now it's football season. I'm so glad this is my senior year... I don't think I could handle another year of all these games and meets. I love sports, but sometimes it's hard. Everyone just expects me to do so well... I don't want to let them down. Even Zelda said on our first date that I did well... I can't let her know about this. I don't want her to think less of me... or that I'm weak. She knew something was wrong... and I hate to just leave her in the dark about it... but I just can't bring myself to tell her. Impa said that she needs all the love she can get... but telling Zelda about my problems won't help her. She says she wants to know... but I don't want her to. If I tell her, I'll look pathetic.

*knock, knock*

"Link? Why aren't you up yet?" I hear Aryll ask from the other side of my bedroom door.

"Sorry Aryll... I'm having a slow morning." I say loud enough so she can hear me from my bed.

"Well, hurry up." She says, I wait to hear her tiny footsteps trail off as she walks away from my door. Well, I guess that's my sign that I should get up. I pull the sheet and blankets off me and am struck by how cold it is in my room.

"Oh my fucking Hylia... it's freezing in here." I say under my breath. I quickly make my way over to my closet, wearing nothing but underwear, and look for something to wear. Where are my clothes? I look around my room... my clothes are in piles all around my room. Do I really not have any clean clothes? Ugh... I sift through a pile of clothes on the floor... smelling each shirt to find one that's at least decent to wear. Once I find a shirt, I search my room for some sweats or shorts to wear... once I find a pair of sweats, I quickly put both the shirt and the sweats on. It's still so fucking cold in here. I open my bedroom door and am greeted by the warm and bright living room.

"Well good morning sleepyhead." Mom giggles from the kitchen.

"Hi Mom..." I say while ruffling my hair out a bit. "Did you turn on the air conditioning in my room?" I ask her.

"No, I didn't. Maybe Dad did before he left for work."

"I turned it on." Aryll says... her eyes peeking over the couch.

"Why? It's freezing in there." I say as I approach her on the couch.

"Because, you won't come out of your room without a shirt if it's cold."

"Hm, you're funny..." I huff. She just giggles and sticks her tongue out at me. I stick my tongue back at her and then walk back to the thermostat and turn down the air conditioning. Hylia... these clothes stink. Wait, the cologne. I walk into my bathroom that I share with Aryll and find the cologne still in the bag on the counter. I take it out of the bag, and then remove it from its box. Where do I even spray it? Like on my shirt? Or do I have to spray it on my skin? Zelda didn't tell me what to do with it. I'll just do like two sprays on my shoulders... I mean Zelda's head is to my shoulder so she'll definitely smell it. I walk out of the bathroom and into the kitchen to see what my mom is making for breakfast.

"Well... how was your day yesterday." My mom asks a little teasingly.

"It was good."

"Good? Just good? Didn't you go shopping? How was that?"

"I mean it was fun, but like I hate wearing suits. Zelda was like so excited about it though."

"Link..." she laughs. "That's just part of going to dances. Didn't you go to some last year?"
