STORMI

I woke up the next morning and all the boys were still asleep, so I snuck downstairs to the kitchen. I dug through the cabinets and pulled out the ingredients to make breakfast and got started.

I took out my phone to play music only I would be able to hear, trying to be as quiet as I can not to wake them up.

I shuffled my music and Pretty Face by Public started playing. The guitars chorused through my phone speaker as I stirred the pancake mix and poured it into the pan making a sizzling noise.

Such a pretty face, you see her walking around
In the middle of the night in her wedding gown
Says that she can do it, but is she trying?

I sang along quietly to the song as I flipped the pancake to the other side and started on the eggs.

Beautiful girl, hasn't grown up yet
And she's wasting all her feelings on a boy she's never met
Says that she is happy, but is she lying?

I swayed and danced around the kitchen grabbing different things I needed.

Running and she's running again
She's trying to understand, but she can't
Running and she's running again
She's crying by herself 'cause she can

I scrambled the eggs up and started frying the bacon in a separate pan. I have a moment to pause, and I have the whisk in my hand from mixing the pancakes earlier using it as a microphone.

Do you know her?
The girl that looks to you

I sang as I held the whisk to my mouth. I spun around with my eyes closed to face the other way.

And would you love her
The way that she loved yo-

My singing was interrupted with someone clearing their throat and my eyes shot open to see Landon leaned against the kitchen entrance with a smirk. I was immediately embarrassed. I froze putting the microphone/ whisk down to my side.

"How long have you been standing there?" I gulped.

"Longer than you'd like" he grinned mischievously.

Myles walked around the other side of him making me feel a little more comfortable.

"Do I smell bacon?" He rubbed his eyes sauntering into the kitchen.

"Yes, My you do" I laughed.

"My?" Landon raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, it's my new nickname.... jealous?" He wiggled his eyebrows.

"No," Landon furrowed his brows.

"Why would he be jealous? I gave him a nickname too" I cut the music off and I fixed Myles a plate and handed it to him.

"You did?" They asked in unison but in different tones.

"Yeah, asshole" I laughed, causing Myles to cackle and Landon to squint his eyes at me.

I fixed Landon a plate and slid it to him across the counter and then fixed another one for Noah and one for me.

"So funny," Landon said sarcastically, joining Myles at the table.

"Do I smell bacon?" Noah came walking into the kitchen.

"Yes," I smiled, handing him his plate.

"We need to have her move in," he said walking over to the table. I carried my plate and sat it down and then brought cups back that I filled with orange juice handing everyone a cup.
