STORMILandon and I just arrived at the tattoo shop so I can job shadow for a few hours. I'm so excited to see what it's like to actually work in a shop. I've been dreaming of the day one of my designs is brought to life and permanently inked on someone. Obviously that's not happening today but I'm one step closer.
"You go ahead. I have to make a quick phone call." Landon says before leaning down to peck my cheek. I blush at the small act. It's the gentle things like that that make me realize he's really changing. It all seems kind of fast but I know that Landon is just opening up to me and being himself. I'm finally seeing the real him.
I smile and nod my head making my way into the shop. The bell above the door chimes as I enter and Beau rounds the corner.
"Stormi, welcome" he smiles.
"Hey Beau" I smile excitedly.
"Hey so I actually have to run some errands for a bit but I'm going to have Fletcher get you started." he tells me. I nod understanding and now I'm suddenly nervous.
I felt better going into this because I would be with Beau. I know I don't really know him but he's dating Mel. That kind of makes him like my brother in law. Now I'm going to be in here with someone I'm meeting for the first time.
What if he's mean, rude, scary?
"Fletch!" Beau shouts and a guy rounds the corner.
He's tall, about Landon's height. Maybe an inch or two shorter. He's about Beau's age so a little older than me. He's got auburn hair, brown eyes and lots and lots of tattoos.
"Hey, you must be Stormi." He smiles. His teeth are perfect and suddenly I'm jealous. I had braces for years and mine don't look that good.
"That's me" I smile shyly.
"Come on. I'll show you how to set up appointments." He says walking over to the computer that's in the waiting room.
"I'll be back in a bit" Beau waved walking out and the door chimes.
"You know when Beau was telling me about you, I was expecting for you to look like that." Fletcher chuckles as he types on the computer.
I feel my eyes widen completely caught off guard. "Sorry?"
"I just mean you're a lot prettier than I imagined." he grins.
I hear someone clear their throat and I look up to see Landon standing with his arms crossed.
"We will be with you in just a second," Fletcher tells him. He assumes he's a customer and Landon doesn't correct him. I was so surprised by Fletcher's comment I didn't even hear Landon come in.
"Here you can sit" Fletcher pulls the chair out for me and I do as he says.
"If you click on the book down at the bottom" he says and I reach for the mouse following along.
"Then click contacts." He says reaching down, putting his hand over mine and helping me like I can't follow basic instructions. I glance at Landon who looks like he's going to explode.
Fletcher is so close his chest keeps brushing the back of my head and his hand is still over mine as he moves the mouse with me.
"Do you like having hands?" I hear Landon grumbled.
Oh no.
"Sorry?" Fletcher looked over to him confused.
"Do you like having hands?" Landon calmly repeated.
Fletcher laughed thinking this is some kind of joke. "I mean yeah, they are pretty cool." he smiled.
"Then I suggest you move your fucking hands off of my girlfriend" he growled.
