STORMI
I woke up to the sun obnoxiously beaming through the window and I groaned to myself not wanting to get up. Thankfully I'm not too hungover. Just a slight headache and some nausea.
At least I don't feel like death.
I got up and made my way to Noah's bathroom to brush my teeth and fix my hair. I really don't feel like wearing actual clothes today. While I was brushing my teeth I debated just staying in the shorts and big T-shirt I slept in, but I already know it's chilly outside.
I fixed my hair into a messy bun and changed into leggings and a sweater before making my way downstairs.
I heard the chatter of the three boys I currently live with coming from the kitchen indicating that Myles and Noah are home.
"Please, you couldn't tell a good joke if you were paid" Myles scoffed.
I walked into the room and the three of them directed their eyes to mine. Noah was beaming with an amused grin at the two bickering boys. Myles was taunting Landon and Landon looked unbothered.
"Stormi, please tell Landon that he isn't funny." Myles gestured to the boy who was leant up against the island countertop with his arms crossed.
He had on a black t-shirt that was very fitted, black jeans, and black converse. His hair was a mess, his skin was paler than usual, his eyes were rimmed red like he didn't sleep a wink and just under the layer of red were dark circles.
He looked like shit, but somehow still very attractive.
I've never paid this much attention to Landon before. My heart rate picked up and I could feel myself turning red. I remember last night as clear as day.
I can feel tension after what happened between us but it could just be me. He probably doesn't even remember.
"Cupcake?" Myles called, snapping me from my thoughts.
"I mean..." I hesitated.
"Fuck off Myles" Landon rolled his eyes.
"Please tell a joke that's funnier than the one I told then... since you think it's so stupid." My scoffed.
"What was the joke?" I gave a small smile interested in hearing this.
"What do you call a constipated detective?" He grinned with anticipation at me as the other two boys rolled their eyes at hearing the joke for a painful second time.
"I don't know, what?" I looked at him with furrowed brows.
Myles looked at me with the biggest grin before he told the punch line through laughter "A no shit, Sherlock"
I gasped at the realization before letting out a giggle. The joke isn't really funny. It's more so his own reaction that makes it funny.
"See, she thinks it's funny" Myles pointed to me with a huge grin.
"Whatever" Landon rolled his eyes.
"You're just mad because you aren't funny" Myles continued to annoy him. "I've heard him tell a joke one time and you know what it was?"
I lifted my eyebrows indicating I was listening while smiling at him stupidly.
"Why can't dinosaurs talk?" Myles crossed his arms.
"I don't know, why?" I noticed Noah in the back trying to contain laughter while Landon walked towards the fridge not having any part of Myles antics.
"Because they're dead" Myles looked at me with a serious expression.
