LANDON
I've been stuck in the car with Myles and Noah for almost an hour. They've always tended to annoy me but today they are really on my nerves. The argument with Stormi last night just has me in a worse mood than normal.
"We will never get caught Myles and if we do, the boss will get us out of it" Noah spoke to the child like man in the backseat.
"I hope. Jail is no fun" he pouted causing my eyes to shoot up to the rearview mirror.
"You've been to jail?" Noah and I asked in unison.
"Once. When I played Monopoly. I can only imagine the real thing is a lot worse." he kicked his feet up between Noah and I on the center console. "Maybe I should ask Stormi," he laughed.
"I doubt Stormi actually was in jail. She probably sat in a holding cell or in the Sheriff's office until Roman got there" I told him. "True" he agreed as I pulled into a spot and parked the car.
Today is an annoying day. Not only because I have to deal with a bullshit delivery but also because my conversation with Stormi from last night keeps replaying in my head.
"I care about the boys... I care about you for God sake"
No one has ever told me they cared about me before.
If she truly meant what she said she's going to get hurt by the end of it all.
The parking lot is dark. There is a faint glow from a streetlight across the road but it's not enough to really give us any light.
"Okay guys so remember the deal" I started, and both of the boys got quiet.
"We go in and speak with Mako. He owes boss $500,000 so we can only give him the delivery if he pays up. If he doesn't have it...." I paused.
"They die" Noah kept a stone face. Noah's always struggled with what we do. We all do but him more than Myles and I.
"We've been doing this long enough. It's business" I reminded him and he nodded.
We got out of the car and made our way to the back alley.
"You must be Knight" the man said with a toothpick hanging from his lip.
"You must be the trash I have to take out if you don't have Luna's money" I smirked.
His gaze moved over the three of us and he swallowed hard. 3 other men emerged and stood around him for extra security and I laughed. We were outnumbered by 10 and took them down before.
"I'm assuming you don't have it" I made an educated guess.
"If you give me a week. I can get it to you" he negotiated with a cocky grin.
"Unfortunately, Mako" I dropped the bag of cocaine on the ground next to me. "I don't have a week" I pulled out my gun and sent a blow towards him as Noah and Myles did the same to his counterparts.
I took my phone out and called the duplicitous cops working for Boss over here and told them about the cleanup.
We walked back to the car, and I threw the duffle bag back into the trunk. "Well boys time for a drink I'd say" I shut the trunk and pulled out the keys.

STORMI'S POV
If I have to sit at this dinner a minute longer, I'll scream.
"And what do you currently do now Stormi" Mrs. Gomez spoke from across the table. The Gomez family is trying to open a new firm with my dad in Dallas. He's doing it either way but he says it's important to impress them so he won't come out of pocket as much for the building. They seem interested in investing.
