I walked towards Nick's room, a nervous feeling taking over me. It had only been a month and a half since I met Nick, but I was ready. I loved him a lot. It would be my first time; my innocence would be gone. But I was ready for it. As I neared the room, the door opened. Nick stepped out with a girl. He kissed her cheek before watching her walk off. Tears stung my eyes as I watched the scene before me.
"You could have just broken up with me." I cried, tears slowly blurring my vision.
Nick's eyes widened as he turned around, his gaze meeting mine. "Oh my god, Lux. It's not what it looks like!" He exclaimed. I shook my head, walking backwards. Here I was, about to tell him I was ready to give myself to him, when he was cheating on me. "Lux, please--"
"No!" I interupted him with my scream. "Nick, what else could this be? She walked out of your room and you kissed her cheek. You both have messy hair and you are obviously slightly sweaty. It sure looks a lot like you were cheating on me." When he stayed silent, I ran. I ran all the way to my room, knocking people over in my rush.
My bedroom door slammed shut as soon as I got there. My feet took me to my stereo where I pressed play, collapsing on my bed afterwards. Almost Lover by A Fine Frenzy came on. The song related to my situation almost perfectly, only making the tears come down harder.
