Training was like living hell. I had to train with Nick as always, but instead of enjoying it, I shot fire balls straight at his face. He did his best to block them, and he did. Unfortunately. Coach was shouting at me, telling me to work harder. Apparently I wasn't angry enough.

"What's with you?" Jake asked, approaching me after Nick stormed off. "Did something happen betweed you and Nick?"

I nodded, walking away. Unfortunately, he followed me. "Nick cheated, and I caught him." I snarled, wishing the boy would leave me alone.

"I highly doubt that--" Those four words pissed me off.

I turned around, rage my only emotion. My fists were clenched and the ground below us began to tremble. "Shut the fuck up!" I screamed, flames quickly igniting my palms. Jake looked scared, but I truly didn't give a rat's ass. I threw flames everywhere before I was done. "Oh my god." I gasped when I looked around. Water quickly spurted out from my fingertips, extinguishuing the fired.

Jake grabbed my trembling arm and dragged me out of the gymnasium. He lead me out into the woods, and soon we reached a hidden parking lot. Reaching a sleek black car, Jake opened the door and allowed me to climb in.

An hour later, we were in the middle of nowhere, driving along the coast. The sun was setting over the horizon. It was beautiful. Jake looked over at me, his eyes holding both curiousity and worry.

"Are you okay?" He asked, his voice quiet, but audible. I nodded. "I'm sorry for setting you off earlier. I would have left you alone if I'd known you were that upset."

I shook my head. "No, Jake, I'm sorry for flipping out like that. No matter how upset I am, I should have never freaked out and set the gym on fire. I'm the one who's apologizing. Not you." Suddenly, I realized what was happening. Jake had been too busy apologizing to look at the road. My eyes widened. "Jake, watch out!"

A/N: I'm sorry it's so short! It's late at night, and I'm going to be busy all of tomorrow, so I felt bad. So here we are, with a cliff hanger!
