Chapter 18

It's been a couple of days now and so far things have been quiet. Too quiet. You didn't have anything to do today and were given permission to go out so that is what you do. You wore a turtleneck vest with a jacket ontop, a skirt with shorts underneath (to save embarrassing situations) and attached a knife to your thigh for easy access incase you cross Fyodor then some shoes suitable for if you need to do some parkour. You grab your bag and debit card then head out to travel to one place where your hoping to see a certain detective and guild member with a pet racoon.

You arrive to the destination and went into the building where you automatically saw Poe with Karl. You decided to look around the museum and was looking at the brochure then 'accidentally' bumped into Poe.

"Oh my- I'm so sorry!" you say to the tall male.

"Oh no I apologise for just standing here in the way" he replies slightly flustered.

"No it's my fault for not looking where I was going. I just got so caught up in reading the brochure" you say then look at Karl "and who is this cute little guy? Let me guess your name... I'm thinking you look like a Kyle or Karl"

"Impressive, his name is Karl" Poe says with a small blush and you giggle when Karl suddenly jumps at you and you catch him in your arms.

"He is soo adorable" you smile as you scratch Karl's head.

"He seems to like you" Poe points out "I feel like I have been replaced..."

"Nah you can never be replaced by me" you say with a smile as you hand Karl back to Poe.

You suddenly hear laughter and you knew exactly who it was so you decided to take that as your cue to leave and hide in the background.

"Well I best be off. See you later Poe!" you smile as his eyes widen slightly in shock.

By then Rampo made his presence known as he runs towards Poe in the bear costume and when Poe got distracted and turned away from you that was when you quickly escaped and walked outside. You walked to near the back of the soon to be crime scene and where Mushitaro was going to be hiding and now you waited.

You looked up from your hiding space when you heared screams and saw the man fall from the building. Then not long after you heared the police and that was when you saw Mushitaro enter where you are and before he could activate his ability you pinned him to the wall locking his harm behind his back and put your knife to his throat.

"Activate your ability and you won't live to see another day" you say into his ear.

"P-Please don't hurt me" he stutters.

"Dont fight me and I won't" you tell him and with a whimper he nods.

"That enough now." you hear behind and turn to see Rampo stood there with Poe and Minoura "thank you for your help Y/N"

"Wow even knowing my name, I'm impressed. It's nice to meet the world's greatest detective in the flesh" you chuckle as you hand Mushitaro to Minoura.

"I will see you at the station Rampo" Minoura says and the candy loving detective nods.

"Okay!" he says happily while watching the two males walk away and you put the knife back in the holder on your leg and look at Rampo "So your the girl from the other dimension. It's nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too Rampo" you smile then look at Poe "Sorry for not being completely honest with you back there Poe. I just wanted to meet you but thought that if I come up and mention I was from another dimension without Rampo being there you might think I'm crazy or something"

"Oh no no it's fine. I will admit the way you suddenly disappeared though was a mystery to start with. I might add that to my next novel" he says with a small smile.

"Yeah sorry I kinda did that because it seemed cool and also I didn't want Rampo seeing me straight away" you chuckle.

"But how did you do it so quietly?" Poe asks.

"Isn't it obvious!" Rampo exclaims "She does Parkour and is a member of the port mafia. Obviously training under the Black Lizards stealth assassin"

"Nothing gets past you detective" you chuckle.

"Of course not! I am the world's greatest detective after all!" he boastsaking you chuckle.

"That you are" you giggle "anyhow I think I better take my leave"

"Why not come back to the agency with me? I know you want to meet the rest of them" Rampo says with a smile.

"I would but you need to focus on how to get Kunikida out of jail" you tell him.

"Huh? Kunikida isn't in jail" Rampo says for once sounding confused.

"Wait? What?" you ask just as confused "didn't he get arrested for the death of that kid?"

"No.... Wait I see what's happening!" Rampo suddenly says.

"You do?" Poe asks curiously.

"Of course! Basically what is happening in Y/N's world where we are nothing more than a story ourselves is a different plot to what is happening here but some things do align. So technically in her reality Kunikida got arrested after the cannibal incident for a death of a child but here that didn't happen! The fact that she is here and also warning people of certain events and changing them is also altering the outcomes like how I was going to confront the mafia executive but due to my amazing ultra deduction skills I knew she was going to warn him of my plan of attack using your book Poe hence having to send Kenji instead and changing the outcome of the stand off" Rampo explains.

"Now that explains things better" Poe nods "But doesn't that change things where you are from? Like the butterfly effect"

"Thats the thing... I managed to contact some friends ages ago and they didn't know who I am. It was like I don't exist anymore and neither does the manga/anime you guys are from" you explain.

Poe looks at you in shock and even Rampo looks at you surprised upon hearing that.

"So yeah..." you sigh "I no longer exist and I don't know if what I know is wrong or something world changing is going to happen"
