Chapter 9

You arrive to Mori's office and knock on the door hearing a 'come in'. Once you open the door you see Mori sat at his desk and Elise on the floor next to him colouring on some paper.

"You wanted to see me sir?" you ask moving closer to him.

"Yes. I'm impressed with your progress so far. Your a fast learner especially without an ability" Mori says.

"Thank you sir" you say with a small bow.

"I have suggested Gin to help you with learning to use blades so you know how to use a weapon especially as one of our prisoners escaped a couple days ago and tricking one of my men to kill himself aswell as stealing information about the Port Mafia members abilities" Mori says with a frown and you can't help your eyes widening and a gasp to leave your lips which intruiges the male "So you know who I'm talking about?"

"Fyodor Dostoevsky" you say making Mori nod and smirk.

"So you are aware of what will happen?" Mori asks.

"I have an idea but I don't want to change too much if I can help it incase it changes stuff in my world but there is also the probability that what is known in my world is different here. For example in my world it could say that right now a bomb blows up in the office but it can either be not true here or I could tell you where is and neutralise the threat but that could change the outcome in the end and could actually be in your favor or the enemies" you try your best to explain.

"I completely understand. Well if thinks do escalate and align with things you know then let me be aware as soon as possible.

"Yes sir" you nod

"Good. Also I have managed to have your room organised. It is the room opposite Chuuya's so here is your key" Mori informs as he hands you your room key then another one "the other key is to Chuuya's room seeing as partners have access to each others rooms"

"Wait? Partners?" you question confused.

"Yes. I have decided for you to work alongside Chuuya. For now you will go on information retrieval, undercover work and helping to supervise weapons deliveries from the port but once your skills have improved especially with weapons then you can go on more 'hands on' jobs" Mori informs you.

"So I'm officially a member now? Also is Chuuya okay with me as a partner? After what happened with Dazai I wouldn't think he would be happy having another partner" you say with a small frown.

"Indeed you are so congratulations and Chuuya was surprisingly fine with you as a partnwr I could even say he was eager" Mori tells you with a smirk.

"Oh!" you respond surprised with a slight blush "Well that's unexpected"

"Indeed but I trust his judgement and if he sees you fit to be by his side then I won't disagree" Mori says with a grin.

"Why have one weapon when you can have two huh Mori?" you say with smirk.

"You are a smart one" he chuckles with amusement.

"I try" you shrug.

"Oh also" he slides you a credit card and smiles "you have tomorrow off so I will let you go shop for clothes and essentials seeing as you don't have anything apart from the things Higuchi has given you"

"Whats the catch?" you cautiously ask raising an eyebrow.

"No catch darling" he says making you internally cringe "well this is the card where your pay goes to for the jobs you do just think of the money on there right now is your joining bonus"

"Well okay then....thanks" you say taking the card.

"Your welcome now off you go" he says swatting his hand slightly towards the door.

"Yes boss!" you say cheerfully with a smile then leaving quickly.

Once you leave Mori looks down at Elise with a smile.

"She is an interesting one isn't she my dear Elise?" Mori chuckles while the said girl looks at him and nods "Now how about we go dress shopping tomorrow!?"

"No." Elise responds with no emotion aside a glare as she looks back at her drawing.

"So cold" Mori shivers.
