Chapter 23

"So technically my ability turns me into a snow leopard?" you question as your sat back down after your mother explains your ability.

"Yes. But of course your larger than a normal one similar to Atsushi when he is in his tiger form" she tells you.

"Right... Right..." you say nodding calmly before you stand up "I need a moment"

"Of course" Fukuzawa says knowing this would be a shock to you.

You leave the office and shut the door then walk down the hall and enter an empty janitors closet and once the door shuts....

"MOTHERFUCKER!" you scream before picking up a random bucket and launching it at the wall denting it badly as you let out your frustrations.

You stand there breathing heavily with clenched fists and gritted teeth. Before screaming loudly from frustration as you pick up the bucket again and throw it at the wall before stomping all over it till its just a flat piece of metal. Then you crouch down and cover your face with your hands as you let your tears of anger and frustration fall down your face. Suddenly the door knocks and you sniffle and wipes your face then stand up and open the door to see Atsushi stood there nervously.

"I-I uh heared screaming and clanging noises and wanted to see if you were okay" he says nervously as he looks at your face that is stained with tears and your eyes puffy.

You stare at him before suddenly pulling him to a hug which surprises the boy who isn't used to being hugged when he is normally the one to initiate it on the moments he does them. He hears your sniffles and frowns before slowly returning the hug and letting you cry in his arms.

"I hate it here... I hate my life here minus being in a relationship with Chuuya but still...I want my old life back where I didn't have a care in the world" you say through sobs.

"I know it's difficult...you know what you went through.. Orphanages aren't fun and I can only imagine the shock of the changes your going through but things will get better. You seem strong so I know you can do this" he says trying to hype you up a bit and you sniffle as you look up at him.

"Thanks Atsushi..." you say softly.

"Your welcome. How about you come with me downstairs to Cafe Uzimaki and get a coffee to calm down?" he suggests and you nod with a sigh.

"Let me tell the president first otherwise they will think I ran away" you say and he nods.

Your sat in the booth having a coffee with Dazai sat next to you and Atsushi and Kiyoka opposite you.

"So how come your here Dazai? You obviously didn't do your paperwork" you say taking a sip of your drink.

"Of course I did!" he says with a smile.

"Giving it to Atsushi isn't you doing it" you tell him "Poor boy has enough to deal with now he is put in such a shitty situation which I'm still not impressed with"

"Sorry L/N..." He says with a frown and looks down at the table.

"It's fine" you sigh "I know you were trying to be kind and helpful"

"Yeah... It's just that if I was in your situation and my parents returned and wanted me around then I would have wanted to know why they suddenly returned and let them explain then try to see from their perspective to try and build up a rapport with them again" Atsushi explains.

"I know... I'm sorry for not being the most understanding but I kinda got shoved straight into the deep end with things and my emotions and mind are all over the place" you explain.

"I felt that way when I first got involved with the agency" Kiyoka chimes up "stepping into the light from the darkness was not easy but I overcame it and now I am in the light and happy"

"You did very well to get here Kiyoka" you say with a soft smile making her blush slightly.

"Soo... Are you looking forward to working alongside me and Kunikida on missions?" Dazai chimes in putting an arm around your shoulders.

"You. Yes. Mr Ideals... Not so much" you say removing his arm from you "also if you want to keep your arm I wouldn't do that or Chuuya will remove it from your body."

"I still can't believe your dating him" Dazai shudders.

"Your just jealous cause you can't get bitches" you say.

"Of course I can I have many women after me" he says smugly.

"Yeah till you mention double suicide and then they run for the hills" you point out.

"Wow way to call me out. Hit it where it hurts why not?" Dazai pouts.

"My speciality" you smile.

"Anyhow where are you staying?" Atsushi asks.

"Ugh I gotta stay with my parents because apparently they don't trust me" you groan laying your head on the table "I'm a grown ass adult not a child. Also where else am I to go? I don't know Yokahama that well yet and the only place I can go is to the port mafia hideout so there is no point to try escape especially as Mori would only have me dragged back"

"Especially because of the deal that was made~" Dazai coos.

"Yes Dazai no need to rub it in" you growled making him smirk.

You heared a phone ring and saw Atsushi and after a brief conversation he looked up at you.

"Well then" he said "breaks over. Let get you started"
