Katie PoV
After I changed into the same sweats and tank top from earlier this morning, I quickly run into my kitchen and take two shots of vodka. My nerves are all over the place and the fact that Scarlett will be at the house while I'm 'playing with Rose' sends me into a panic. I'm not usually this close with her but I can feel myself gravitating towards her. When my arm wrapped around her shoulder for the picture, I felt this spark and feeling of euphoria just from a small touch. It amazes and scares me at the same time.

I walk out my front door, and across my lawn before stopping in front of Scarlett's door. I open it, seeing Rose chasing Cosmo around and Scarlett is in the kitchen. Right as I close their front door, my phone rings. I groan seeing Becca's name on it but answer in case she needs something.

"Hello?" I saw making Scarlett snap her head up at me and I give her a sorry smile.

"Hey Katie. Are you coming to Troy's tonight?" She asks

"Uhh no I'm not. I'm busy. Why?"

"I really needed some weed. Do you think you could drop it off"

I pause for a moment thinking if I have anything left.

"Yeah sure. I don't know what time I'll be there though. How much do you need?"

"1/8. $45?" She asks

"Yeah. I'll call you when I'm outside." I say and hang up the phone.

"Katie!!!!" Rose squeals and runs over to me. "Can we do the Lego now?" She asks and I smile at the small child.

"Of course." I say walking over to the dining room table. We always do our arts and crafts over here so why not legos.

"So, I was shopping the other day and saw this small set I thought you'd like." I say and slide the small box out of the bag.

"No...way!!! Mom! It's you and uncle Chris!" Rose squeals with joy holding up the box of legos to her mom.

I know rose is obsessed with Scarlett's characters. All of them. But since she can't watch most of them she's taken a keen liking to Black Widow. Cosmo shuffles over to see what the excitement is about and I remember I have that plush for him. I pull it out of the bag and wave it down to his level and he smiles big and surprised. He runs over to me and holds the plush, looking at it. "Mama" he says and gives it a hug.

I look up at Scarlett like I'm wiping tears away at his actions and she smiles sweetly at him, having seen what he did. I let Rose set up the piles of legos while I help Cosmo into my chair and go into the kitchen to grab us drinks. I can see Scarlett is making a snack plate and decide to help her out with the drinks.

"You didn't have to buy them anything. I could've gotten it for free." She says to me making me look up at her almost forgetting what she's talking about.

"I don't mind. I was going to bring it Friday night but had to break it out early so pretend you don't know about it." I laugh a little.

"I really appreciate you sticking to your promises with her. She really looks up to you." Scarlett says with an unusual tone, almost like she wants to say more but doesn't want to over step. I get it. I'm not the best influence.

"I never want to see her disappointed or sad." I say looking up at the kiddos at the table.

"Me either" Scarlett hums, seemingly lost in her mind.

After gathering the drinks, Scarlett grabs the snack plate and follows me to the table. She helps us do some of the legos but it's fairly small and Rose is so good she does most of it by herself. Rose convinces me to go to her room with her for a tea party and I agree, dragging Cosmo along. Scarlett mentions about being in her office and I wave her off, telling her I got the kids.
