Katie POV
The rest of the weekend and week goes well. I've been so ecstatic that my camera is here with me and I try to take pictures at least once a day. California has a lot to offer being close to mountains and beaches and I've gotten plenty of landscape photos. Scarlett and I talk everyday, almost all day. There was some times when she had a long meeting and we'd just text a bunch of times but every night, 7pm her time, we'd have a call. I would hang around at the office until she called so she could be my company on my drive back to Lizzie's. It became something to look forward to after a hard day doing boring research and I cherish it.

Now that it's Wednesday, I had just hung up with Rose, Scarlett and even Cosmo and I'm finding myself at the mall. I need a dress for this gala and I want something that's going to wow Scarlett.

I know she is attending but I'm not sure if we will be able to interact much. She is a high list celebrity at this event where I am just an intern who got lucky enough to be invited. I still want to look my best and hopefully be able to see her after the night ends.

I step into Lord & Taylor first searching their large assortment of left over prom dresses. They're all on sale but of course I don't see anything I like. I move onto the other bigger department stores but still have no luck. Just as I'm about to give up, Lizzie calls me.

"Hey! Where are ya?" She asks

"I'm at the mall looking for a dress."

"Come home! My sisters didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?" I ask curiously. I just talked to Ashley before I left work and she didn't mention anything.

"They sent us dresses! A stylist is coming here now to fit us and they'll bring the dresses to NY for us tomorrow!" Lizzie's voice sounds excited.

"Okay I'll be back soon." I say before we hang up.

I quickly find the exit and find my rental car. I speed back to Lizzie's so I'm not late for the stylist. I run into the house out of breath to see Lizzie just reading a book on the couch.

"Don't tell me this is another lie and someone's about to walk through that door."

"No I wouldn't do that again." She laughs and just as I catch my breath the doorbell rings. In walks a woman carrying bags and a large very gay man with blue hair.

"Lizard!!!"

"Clay!!!"

They both squeal like little school girls getting to go outside for recess and run and hug each other.

"Katie! This is clay my BFF since middle school and also our hairstylist for tomorrow!" Lizzie introduces us.

"Hey Clay." I say and shake his hand. He smiles politely saying hi and shakes mine back.

"He's going to stay here tonight and fly with us tomorrow morning." Lizzie explains and tells clay to take the other guest room tonight.

As Lizzie helps Clay get settled, the stylist, whose name I found out is Beth takes me to the bathroom and hands me a dress bag. "It's going to be big just get it on and we can figure out where we need to take it in." She explains as she closes the door behind her.

I hang the bag on the back of the door and unzip it open it so I can see it. Ok, it's black, and long. I take off my clothes and slip it on. It has one long sleeve and one open sleeve and there's a slit on the right side leg, opposite the long sleeved arm.

I shuffle out of the bathroom and spot Beth who has huge wide eyes when she sees me. "What! It's that bad!" I question.

"No no no! It's really beautiful. I just have to take some length off. It seems to be a perfect fit."
