Katie POV
Today's the first day of my internship and the day is only just getting started but of course it couldn't go right. I woke up on time, showered and got dressed but as soon as I got downstairs something felt off.

I knew my mom would be back home, which she was, but it just felt different. She was avoiding eye contact, and avoiding anything that had to do with me. She didn't make coffee like she normally does which I had to do, which I spilled all over the kitchen. And guess what, she didn't even yell at me for that. It was more like I didn't even exist and I was a damn ghost.

She left me in the kitchen cleaning up coffee grounds and when I just gave up on coffee and headed out the door, my car wouldn't start. Thankfully, Leah was awake and came to grab me. She even stopped at Starbucks on the way to the office building but I spilled it on my blazer!

Just not the morning I was looking forward to.

Luckily, my day was turned around as soon as I stepped into the large building. There was a coffee, along with my ID waiting for me at the front desk. Props of Ashley, I later found out. Then meeting the team was fabulous. Sara, introduced me to everyone who was super nice and told me how things work in that area of the office and made me feel included right away.

As I'm sitting in the break room for lunch, the door opens and everyone sits up properly in their seats and the murmuring quiets down, which makes me look up to see who walked in.

That's when I see two smiling faces heading my way.

"Hello twins." I smile as they take a seat on either side of me.

"Hey Katie, or should I say Kathleen" Mk smirks teasing me. I guess she looked at my application but by the death glare I give her she surrenders with her hands up. "Okay sorry, no Kathleen."

"How are you doing?" Ashely asks.

"Great. Everyone's been great." I smile at them but Ashley tilts her head and smiles at me like I answered the question wrong.

"I asked how you're doing, not everyone else." She laughs a little.

"Oh! I'm okay. Thank you for the coffee by the way, it made my morning." I chuckle a little nervously. These are the freakin Olsen twins and it's not like the other three people in here eating lunch aren't hardcore staring at us.

"Just a coffee can do that?" Mk chimes in

"I had a rough morning, so yes." I look over to her now and she then tilts her head. Ugh.
"Car problems" I shrug and take a bite out of the lovely salad I bought in the building cafeteria.

"Oh girl, been there too. Glad my coffee helped" Ashley is quick to jump in and not make me start to think about all the shit I have to take care of after this work day is over. You would think after that having such a rough morning my mind wouldn't think about the blonde next door. Wrong.

I am just dying to know if I'm on her mind too.

"Thank you again. I should probably head back, my lunch is just about over." I say to which they both stand with me and follow me out after I throw my plate away.

"See ya Katie." Mk says as she walks past the door I'm going into and down the hall a little more.

"Bye!" I wave and Ashley smiles but stops in front of me.

"If you need anything, don't be shy." She smiles warmly and I instantly picture Lizzie and it makes me feel safe, kind of like a motherly figure.

The rest of the day is amazing and I immediately take a liking to the way their photographer, Charles explains things. He's very visual and lets us all take a look at the lens and camera before he moves on to the next thing. There's only three of us who are interns but that's more than enough because then it would turn into a competition and that's not what this is about.
