"Now if we're talking high tech, the EOS Rebel will be your best bet."

I look down at the monster of a camera that the tech store employee puts down on the counter as my eyebrows narrow.

"Sure it'll cost you a pretty penny, but it will be totally worth it in the long run. I'm talking massive Megapixel sensors, Godspeed autofocus, as well as amazing built-in wireless connection. You'd sweep other photographers right off their feet with this thing." "You talk a lot, don't you?" I glance over at Sousuke before looking back at the employee, "How much is it gonna cost me?" The tech employee pushes his fingertips together before setting his palms flat down on the countertop. "Well normally it would run for about 90,000¥ (~600 usd).. but I'd be willing to give you an offer since you're in need of something good." "How much of a deal are we talking?" "Hmm.." The employee brings his hands up to his mouth as he eyes the camera, but I could tell that Sousuke wasn't buying any of his crap.

"Don't listen to him, Kou. He'll just end up making you pay interest." Sousuke whispers up to me before glancing at the employee for a moment and continuing, "They tried doing this same thing to my Mom when she was eyeing a new phone, don't believe any of the dudes bs. Plus—90,000¥ is way too much for a camera, there's ones just as good as this one that run cheaper."

Damn, who knew Mitsuba was so knowledgeable?

Well.. I guess he has been a camera nerd for as long as I can properly remember.

"Alright, I'll tell you what." I look back at the employee and shove my hands into my jacket pockets. "I'd be willing to take 20 off, and we can set it up so that you can pay installments rather than a lump-sum." "Where would the 20,000¥ go?" "We can put that towards equipment that can prove as useful to the camera, such as things like mounts and tripods.. as well as an insurance fee in case anything were to happen to it." "He'd still be paying 90 though. That's just dumb." "I dunno, I kinda like it. It looks cool." I shrug a bit and look down at Sousuke before looking at the employee again. eager to see how this will end up playing out. "Yes.. uh—I fully agree with you on that sir, this camera is very great. It can also be very helpful if you ever decide to take up photography on a professional level." "Looks isn't what makes it good Minamoto. This camera is still way too expensive, we just need a simple one that takes film," Sousuke then looks up at me. "Plus.. we aren't taking photography professionally right now, so you just need a camera that will get you through this course." The employee clears his throat out, going quiet as he probably tries to figure out what to call Sousuke. "Sir." Mitsuba mutters. "Why yes sir, but I assure you—" I softly scoff and bring my attention back down to the camera that was out on the counter, disregarding the two having a somewhat civil dispute. "Do you not sell cameras that actually take film? We don't need this high quality expensive camera for a college course that this idiot will immediately disregard as soon as he graduates." "Yes sir, I can show you two some cheaper options just over here."

It surprised me to see that people were actually able to get all intimidated by Sousuke. I find it humorous, especially since his personality and his looks don't clash together nicely at all. It's almost as though he's just one big living piece of irony that can breathe too little and talk way too much.

"Minamoto." I look down at Sousuke as we follow the employee over to another small area in the tech store we were in. "How about I stay focused on getting you a camera, and you go find an employee to help you pick out a small tv? It would be easier since I'm a master at this stuff and you're clearly an expert in televisions." My head turns and my eyes follow the direction that his finger is pointing, and I find a wall that had some televisions ranging from small to ginormous. "Oh, right." I look back at Sousuke and smile, just thankful that he still considers me an expert at something.
