"If you just listen, things would be all happy and giggly right now."

He smiles at his arch-nemesis. The girl he fell in love with even when they want literally the most opposite things in life. She gives me a look that screams- Do you really think I will be all happy and giggly?

He gives her his deepest bows and a secret wink before vanishing, leaving her in the midst of the chaos. It gives a lot of pr rating and people get their daily drama from them. They basically became method actors, just that one is a bit unhinged and the other one is a grumpy hero who needs to save everyone.

No one would guess they are married in real life and are the owners of the news channel that somehow always knows where the fights will take place. Earning a good amount for every fight they take place, it gets less frequent which also increases the demand and keeps people interested. He on the other hand, did it for letting out his glorious personality. A little too happy and optimistic for a villain but people love it.

Many of them have caught the exchange of smiles which wouldn't look suspicious with all those scary silent smiles but the lovely hero(ine) doesn't like to smile at all. It makes people all the more interested. So since his journalist talent got all used up for the channel, now he will let the world know his writing skills.

When he told his wife about this brilliant idea, her reaction broke his heart in every possible way, enough for him to ask for break and go on a hunger strike till she agrees. A childish approach but it works all the same. This is how it went if any one would like some laughter :

"Soo I was thinking, since you and I won't be earning much from the news thing-"

"We are." She says blankly, without glancing up from her laptop in her office just beside his.

"And I am completely free now a days-" He tries to continue anyways.

"You are not." She hands him the huge pile of documents that screamed PENDING. He physically flinched at the side. With a lopsided grin and big eyes, he gives his last try.

"I want to write a book about us." At the revelation, she looks up.

"You mean a fanfic." The gasp he gasped at what she said. Let me tell you, it was so dramatic, a few heads turned. (Not really, the rooms are soundproof.)

"How dare you, my book is my baby." Her eyebrows lifted a tiny hint of a smile on her face. Oh how she loved her over excited husband. Only he can make her smile with his overdramatic, crazy actions.

"So you already wrote it?" His eyes widen immediately and he avoids eye contact while shifting around on his place. "No?" She shakes her head with a chuckle.

"Why have you come to ask then?" She asks with an amused expression that she quickly wipes to get her stoic face back.

"Because you are my wife and you should say approve it before I end up publishing it."

"What if I say no?" His head immediately snaps up and he has big teary eyes. Fake ofcourse.

"How could you do that to your favourite husband?" She tries to hold back her chuckle but it slips out of her and she shakes her head at her husbands random antics.

"Are you laughing at my misery? I HATE YOU." He pouts and marches out of the door, purposely ignoring the paperwork she had left for him to take. Even if he is a bit childish at times, she couldn't imagine a life without him. A time where they genuinely hated each other so much that they would have killed each other in a heart beat, without a thought and now, not a single day passes by without them kissing each other, sleeping while cuddling. (She is the big spoon but he would never admit that to anyone.)

Life was never black and white for them yet they chose to be extremes anyways and when they finally chose to be in the grey area, things became so much more brighter.

She knew he would storm off to their apartment from where it all started and so she scheduled her work for later and left to calm her big baby. Like always, he sulked on the sofa, waiting for her to say yes for something she never had an issue about in the first place. He has his days when he gets extra childish just like days where she shuts off from the world. Both of them aren't perfect and more than once a year, annoy the other but both of them compromise and understand the situation. Sometimes, the days clash and it causes a huge fight but within 24 hours, both of them apologize and work it out. That's why they work out so well.

"Do you want to eat? I got some food for you?" He looks at the food, eyes sparkling but then turns his head a huffs, giving just one head shake.

"Till you don't say yes, I won't" She silently laughs and walks closer. He shifts away, pouting, his stomach yearning for the delicious meal she had got from their favourite place as a peace offering for teasing him.

"It tastes so good. I think I might eat all of it." She says with a loud moan of satisfaction. It sounded slightly dirty and she saw him hold back his words.

"I think I am done, let me just throw this all out, oh or  maybe my assistant would like to eat." With a small smile, she pretends to call the one man her husband is always bickering with since she had to work so much, they ended up being together a lot. Her assistant is gay but it didn't satisfy him, he strongly believed that the man was acting and would marry her if he could.

"What about me?" He asks with a small smile and she sees his face. Throwing out all the teasing she immediately hugs him. She hadn't notice his tears or the insecurity he was feeling. There was no way to know who triggered this reaction but she would kill whoever this person is. He may be childish and happy but it was very difficult to hurt him in any possible way.

"Who?" He looks up at her and hesitates, breaking her heart in pieces. She had hurt him without knowing.

"Your assistant." He says with a small voice. When he had stormed off, her assistant had told him that she would get tired of him and she will always end up running back to him. He didn't mind it before but with time she would ignore his nagging, thinking he was playing around which made him insecure. She never thought her gay assistant would be straight and would play with his job so much.

Now that's how the assistant gets 'kidnapped' and is the only 'casualty' of their new fight. He got pretty beaten up, enough for him to never be a journalist or assistant again and enough sympathy for hospital bills only. After that, his career will be doomed by his own doings.

She, as a hero, didn't feel an ounce of guilt which made her think, is she truly a hero? Is her husband truly a villain?
