"Don't you dare take step forward Akira."
Of course she wasn't the one to listen. She skipped ahead with giddy smile, a perfectly taunting smirk underlying beneath it. He could see it as clear as day, why couldn't anyone around him not? It was as if only he knew the real her and the other were looking at a false mask.
This girl was the reason he knew the word hate. Everything about her made his blood boil, from the curly, dark hair that she was so in love with to the high heels she seemed to never be able to live without. It was that piercing black eyes that would always be on him, waiting for a moment of weakness just so she could pounce up at the opportunity but he wouldn't let that happen.
No, he is one of the best for a reason. Her every move, every smile, every weakness was stored in his mind. He knew when she would cry before it would happen and knew when she would attack before she could react. Everytime they fought, it was a strange dance, a bit alluring to those who would watch.
They would never admit it but they are closer than best friends and a step behind from lovers.
"You never listen do you?" He rolled his eyes, frustrated with the girl standing in front of him. She grinned up at him before messing up his hair and walking away. She was the only who dared to touch his hair, he was a bit touchy about it.
"Am I seeing things? You let her touch your hair Kenji?" A voice speaks from behind. He turned to find the only other girl he was close to. One he dared not admit but this girl, she was like sister to him. Even if they had a short history.
"Its been a while, little dove." He smiled at the girl and they share a brief hug. The girl tightened the hug, unwilling to let go.
"Can I just stay like this for a while?" She mumbled against his shirt, holding herself together but that thin string could snap any moment.
"Who hurt you?" His chest rumbled with anger. The girl sighed, relaxed that she had some who cared. He held her close, trying to think of ways to bring her justice against anything that may have hurt her.
"I need a place to stay for a few moments." She stated and pulled back, just to find the girl who she saw earlier, glaring into her soul. Akira looked over at the man she called as her enemy, smiling and worried about another girl. She wanted to destroy her.
She wanted to destroy the girl because he cared about her. Anything he liked, will be taken away from him, that is the only reason she was so angry. Right? The anger flowing in her veins came out in waves as she stormed over to him.
Taking a deep breath, she calmed herself down so he won't know what she is planning or how she got affected. It could be perceived as jealousy and she was clearly not jealous.
"New playtoy Kenj?" She purred, putting an arm around the girl who got too close to her man. Her man? She meant her enemy. Obviously, why would she call him her man, it was a slip of tongue or mind or whatever.
He grunted and threw her hand off the girl, possessively pulling her behind him. A brief emotion flashed in her eyes before she rolled it and tilted her head to the side. "Interesting." She chuckled before walking away with a smirk. The boy cautious because he knew her like the back of his hand, she was planning something.
The day rolled by easily, he didn't meet Akira again and his ex opened up about what happened. He was fuming with rage as he thought of ways to avenge her. How horrible can a person be to have their bride run away from the wedding. She didn't tell much other the fact that she had no where to run to and he felt like the only one she could go to.
