CHAPTER : 15 THE GET READY

We went upstairs and all i could see was the relatives crowd surrounded over....

I felt insecure about my looks
The soo called relatives body shame and insults me on my visit....

I always don't get along well with my relatives...

All the thoughts were running over my head and i stood still until mom and papa introduced me to one of their close relations...

The guy looked pretty old around in his 70's and looking white mustard pepper of his hair peeping out of his nose and ears....

Amma and Appa : "Aiya idha enga ponnu....!!"

I smiled and greeted him...

Stranger : "Ponna nalla bavyama
valathurukinga.....rombha mariyadha therinja ponna irukaa....!!"

He blessed me by keeping his hands over my head , mom and papa blushed....

"Ma...yaru ivanga.....?"

I questioned my mom...

Amma : 'ivaru dha ma Singamuthu Aiya unga appavoda vathiyar avar schl padikum podhu..."

I nodded my head and he smiled

Papa whispered in my ear..
("Vaishu..Aiya kaal la vilundhuu Aasirvadham vangiko....!")

I hesitated but it's a compulsion i bent down and touched his foot..
He raised me above and blessed me again

Singamuthu Aiya : "Neenda Aayuloda nalla iru ma neeyum un kudumbamum..."

We smiled and left the place....

We took the front chairs and sat in the hall
Where the view was visible well...

AFTER A WHILE

Soon my cousins arrived....
And surprised me I was soo happy to see them for a long time ..
But things didn't turn as i wished they started to mock and back...

Lakshmi : "Enna akka pudhusa saree la potrukinga..."

I said smiling

Vaishu : "Illa da ma function la adha...yen nalla illaiya??"

I questioned adjusting my saree..

Kavya : "hm...iruku...!"

She sided her view significantly proving they are jealous as their mother (Both were the daughters of Sangavi Athai)

Panimalar Athai (Bride's mom) came in running and asked all of us to move into the car so we could reach the temple on time

(The Marriage here in this scenario takes place in a temple which is a few km's away from the Mandapam..)

Mom, papa and I took the way along and there my cousins too....

We looked around and found only 3 cars Available...

One was already filled with the adults..Another one was filled with the bride's brothers and
in- laws...

there comes the third car where i could see Tharagai Athai and varadharajan mama (kavin's parents)

My parents and i couldn't decide on where we should take a place ...as a confusion

My parents were dragged by the bride's in-laws...and brothers...and asked me to go along with kavin's parents.

I hesitated even though I knew them I felt uncomfortable .....

Tharagai Athai: "Vaishu ...enna nee enga kooda la vara matiya...?? Inga irundhu oru 10 nimisham irukuma Kovil poradhuku.... ipadiyae irundha nee epadi pinnadi thaniya irupa appa Amma va vittutu...??."

They questioned me the reality and i sighed there is no way i hesitantly continued..

Vaishu : "Adhu illa Athai.....! "
(I dragged..)

Varadharajan mama : "Vandhu yeru ma ...neram aguthu ..!!"

Vaishu pov : ("fine there is no way, poi dha aganum pola...")

I pouted and took the back seat mama -Driver seat and Athai took the front...
The car was about to start once we settled down....

"Heyyyy....enna vittu tu kelambiruvingala....??"

I took a look back all of a sudden to see my Kavin mama running towards us....
