Kage and I played cards in my space, trying to cure both of our boredom. I had set my glasses aside on the table so I could put more effort into the game.

"Kage," I began, "what do you think about my plan?"

Kage, who was normally quick with his responses, hesitated for a moment.

"I believe, Lady Ryo, that your plan is quite ingenious and likely to succeed."

My eyes detected the lie immediately. I reached out and grabbed Kage's shadowy form, playfully pulling at it. The shadowy substance stretched, resembling a rubber band being pulled.

"Kage," I said with a mischievous glint in my eyes, "your incorporeal nature doesn't exempt you from answering honestly. You know that I can read your emotions, even if you don't have a physical form."

Kage sighed, his shadowy form wiggling uncomfortably. "I apologize, Lady Ryo. It's just... your plan is a bit of a hassle, isn't it?"

I released he grasp on Kage, satisfied with the honesty. "Indeed, it is, Kage. But you know me well enough to understand that I don't mind a bit of hassle when the results are worth it."

Kage nodded.

"So tell me what you are trying to do with Hana-chan~" Reiji looked at me with puppy eyes.

I opened my mouth to evade the question for me but someone else stopped me from answering.

Someone had collided with me, knocking my glasses off my face.

As my glasses hit the ground, they shattered, causing a ripple of emotional energy to spread throughout the room.

My eyes, now unshielded, began inadvertently manipulating the emotions of those around me.

People near me started to feel a strange mix of emotions—joy, sadness, anger, and confusion.

The emotional chaos in the room grew, causing some students to laugh while others teared up, all without understanding why they were reacting in such a way.

Reiji was caught in this emotional storm, and she struggled to keep her composure. The feelings were overwhelming, and she glanced over at me, who was standing in the midst of it all, seemingly unfazed.

In the chaos, my brother swiftly moved, grabbing a nearby towel.

He reached me quickly and carefully wrapped the towel around my eyes, blocking the direct gaze of my emotions-manipulating eyes. Almost immediately, the wild emotional fluctuations began to subside.

With the towel in place, my powers were temporarily neutralized, and the room returned to just how it was not too long ago. Students around them blinked in confusion, not quite sure what had just happened.

My face was still covered by the towel, but I simply shrugged off the incident.

I bent down and picked up the shattered pieces of my glasses.

I began to piece them back together with a series of intricate movements, her concentration unwavering. In a matter of moments, my glasses were fully restored.

Once my glasses were back on my face, I looked at my brother and Reiji. "Well, that was unexpected," I remarked casually. "No harm done, I suppose."

Training as usual. No. Something's not right.

Hana and Reiji practicing?

No.

Hana had started to imitate my own mannerisms, from the way she held herself to her speech patterns.

While most people would find this kind of mimicry irritating, but I didn't care.
