Balancing the responsibilities of being a student president and a class leader proved to be quite challenging for Horikita.
"I'm happy that the class is motivated to study. But I couldn't do anything about Sakura-san..."
I frown at her. "You shouldn't get hung up on the past." She looks at both me and my brother. "I'm surprised that Nagumo-senpai was able to convince you two to help me."
We both sigh. "It wasn't by choice."
Horikita mockingly imitates our sigh. "I've already made the decision for the second year student."
Kushida walks in. "You're such a valuable person in our class. I think you should join the student council. I'll make you vice-president." Horikita tries to appeal to Kushida.
Kushida laughs. Knowing that she had to try harder, Horikita grabbed Kushida's hand. "Please it will help is reach Class A and your wish to pay back the class."
Seeing how she was adamantly opposed and piecing all the pieces together instantly, Ichika stealthily interjected behind them. "Kushida-senpai won't be easily targeted if she was inside the council."
I kept silent and raised my dominance, something only Ichika could notice, as I glared at her so she wouldn't go overboard.
Ichika took the warning but still played with her enough to be an annoyance as she listed numerous irrefutable benefits for Kushida's case.
Deciding to help their cause, Ichika began poking Kushida all over, whom could only endure for her public persona. "Come on, senpai~"
That ended up forcing us to change to a more secluded location.
Wanting not to stay too long, I walked toward Ichika and whispered, "No more playing." Ichika stops, knowing that it's never a good idea to continue after that.
"I will only join the student council if Horikita kowtows to me."
Horikita quickly did so. With her position secured, more power given, as well as ability to shame Horikita constantly, Kushida was more than appeased.
My brother grabbed Ichika's arm as we moved away, listening to Horikita ashamed plea to only let Kushida see this sight.
Afterward, Horikita looked at us, the smell of humiliation strong.
"At least I got Kushida's assistance" My brother frowns.
"You could have been smarter in choosing another tactic that wouldn't tarnish your dignity." Horikita glossed past his words.
"Maybe Amasawa should be on the council as well. Her OAA was more than qualified." My brother says.
Horikita crosses her arms. "Amasawa isn't what I envisioned my council to be."
She went on to find her candidate, leaving us to talk.
Ichika pouts playfully. "Aww. I was just testing Kushida-senpai and how much stronger she's gotten psychologically."
I knew that the only reason she was tagging along was to inspect the new president, wondering whether to join herself.
"You could have made it in if you sternly made your case to Horikita, though the key word is seriously. You are still in year one and could make yourself known in the future if you intend to be a part of the council." I suggest.
"With Yagami gone, you can turn your malice to us if you ever so wished." My brother adds on.
Horikita came back. "What about Ishigami-san? I know where he is."
