Chapter 112

After training finished.

Hana stormed off in a huff due to losing to Reiji again.

Reiji approached me after Hana was out of sight, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Boss~," she said. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

"What is it?"

"It's about Renji-kun," Reiji said. "I know you've been dating him for a while now, and I was wondering if you've done anything together."

I frowned. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, have you gone on any dates?" Reiji asked.

"Oh," I said. "I don't know. What's a date?"

Reiji sighed. "Even I know what a date is. A date is a social activity that two people do together to get to know each other better," she explained. "It can be anything from going to a restaurant to seeing a movie to just going for a walk."

"Oh," I said. "I see."

"So, have you been on any dates with Renji?" Reiji asked again.

"Yes. We have a date later today."

"What are you going to do?" Reiji smiled.

I shrugged. "I don't know," I said. "He hasn't told me yet." Reiji gave me another mischievous look. "Well have fun~"

~Time skip~

Renji and I sat across from each other at a café table, their coffee cups in front of them. Neither of us spoke.

The silence was awkward, but Renji didn't seem to mind. He was perfectly content to sit in silence all day long.

"So," I said. "What do you want to do?"

Renji shrugged. "I don't know," he said. "What do you want to do?"

"I don't know," I said. "This is hard."

Renji took a sip of his coffee. "Maybe we should just relax," he said. "We don't have to talk all the time."

"Okay," she said.

We sat in silence for a while longer.

Renji just sat there, expressionless. I only imagined him being like that. I never had tried changing someone's personality and the only other time was an accident. I wonder why that happened.

Suddenly, Renji spoke. "I'm having a good time," he said.

"Really?"

Renji nodded. "Yeah," he said. "It's nice to just sit here with you."

"I suppose," I said.

We finished our coffee and left the café. We walked hand-in-hand, enjoying the silence.

3rd person's POV

But someone from afar took pictures of this scene.

??? smirked.

"Take that, Ayanokoji. That's what you get when you mess with my love."

??? then photoshopped the pictures to make it look like they were doing lewd things.

??? then spread the photoshopped pictures around the school. The pictures quickly went viral.

Ryo's POV

"Hey, boss." Reiji looked at me warily.

"Yes?"

"I told you to have fun but I didn't mean it that way." She showed me pictures of Renji and I.

"What are those?"

"Oh. Innocent boss. It just appears like your date was being watched."

"I thought I should have left her alone but I guess I was wrong." I stood up.

"Where are you going? There's no school today."

I glance at Reiji. "Just some 'editing', don't worry, little Reiji," Reiji smirked. "You mean you're going to do something about this, right?"

"Of course."

I walked toward Ibara who smirked when she saw me. "You're hot news, Ayanokoji."

I coldly ignored the comment and took off my glasses.

Her smirk disappeared and she realized that something bad was going to happen. I bet you, Ibara, yes it will. I stared into Ibara's pale green eyes that were wide with fear.

When I finished, she looked at me and smiled. "Ayanokoji-san. I know that just being sorry won't be enough to redeem my actions. Is there anything that you want me to do?"

"Yes. I want you to — " I then promptly removed the memories of all the people who had seen the images. I tossed their memories into my shadow and Kage caught them.

Renji watched me do this all.

"Talk about an overbearing girlfriend."

I shrug. "Nobody intrudes on my privacy like that."

He beckons me to sit next to him on the bench.

Kage had taken my glasses so I gave up and let him play with them.

"You're making the face."

"What face?"

Renji sighs. "The face that tells me that you have a reason for me to be here and watch you do this all."

"You're right."

Renji looked at me curiously. "I am?"

"When I changed your personality," I said. "I also gave you the ability to manipulate gravity."

"Really?" he asked. "That's cool."

"I thought you might like it."

Renji stood up and closed his eyes. He concentrated for a moment, and then he lifted himself off the bench. He floated in the air, his eyes still closed.

"Cool," he said.

"I told you you'd like it."

Renji floated down to the ground and landed next to me. "Thanks," he said. "This is the best thing you've ever done for me."

"I'm glad you like it," I said.
