Chapter 5

((8:37 PM))

"Is there anything else that you need Miss (Y/N)??"

Your assistant Lyle asks as he opens your door just enough for him to peek in slightly.

He had asked if he can leave early today and you told him yes but you were so busy with your work that you lost track of the time.

'Dammit...I guess I'm on my own now...'

You- "No I'm alright here, you can go ahead and head out, thanks again for helping me piece everything again."

Lyle- "Its no problem, have a good night."

You- "You too Lyle, I'll see you tomorrow."

He gives you a slight bow before he closes the door as he makes his way towards the elevator so he can exit the building.

You rub your eyes a bit then look at your computer screen again.

You eyes staring at the report that you are trying to work on before you decide to take a short break and  lean back against your chair.

Almost like you're thinking about how much you have left.

And the thought of it just left you feeling so tired and worn out.

You almost feel like picking up ypur things and walking out.

'Why does this have to happen to me??'

You think to yourself as you rub the sides of your head to try and ease the headache you just gave yourself.

About an hour after you got back to your office, you had received a call that your report for the meeting tomorrow had not been submitted.

Which left you confused because you had written on a sticky note that you had submitted it a few days ago.

And you even confirmed with the president's assistant that they have indeed received it that same day.

So you thought it was weird that they suddenly told you that they couldn't find it all of a sudden.

Either way, you have the report saved on your computer so all you had to do was search for the file and resubmit it without anymore issues.

Which didn't go as planned..

Because when you went into your computer, you saw that your report couldn't be opened, as if the file had been deleted or rewritten.

So you went ahead and called the other leads to see if they can help you recover the file, only to find out that some of them were having the same issue as well.

And usually when something like this happens, you either call the company's tech support team or rewrite the whole report.

And you are not about to start over on something that took you 3 days to complete.

Unless you are completely out if options..

Which ended up being the case..

You aren't happy to hear that not even tech support couldn't help them relocate their files so they have to redo the whole report.

'But at least I'm not the only one having this problem..'

Is what you told yourself after hanging up the call with the other leads.

So with that being said, you put your thoughts to the side and began to work on your report.

You even asked Lyle to help you ask the other managers for their ideas again in order to help you refresh your memory while you worked on the whole layout of the presentation.
