Mel takes his time to place everything back in its place.
After Star came into his room, they both started playing video games for some time before his mother came in to tell him that it was time to turn the TV off.
Mel was a bit disappointed that he had to stop playing because most of his games require a minimum of 2 people.
But he also knows that she can't watch as much TV as he can.
He was hoping that they could at least finish the level before turning off the game.
But of course his mother wouldn't allow that.
Maybe we can play again after dinner?
He thinks to himself as he is putting the controllers away.
He was going to place the games back in their cases before he hears footsteps approaching his doorway.
"Melvin.."
Mel lets out an annoyed sigh as he hears his mother calling him from the door way.
"You know that Star is not supposed to watch TV for too long."
Mel- "But we only played for 3 hours Mom.."
"That is still too long for her Melvin, good thing I came in and took her to her room before her eyes get any worse."
Mel- "Mom, you're talking to me like I tied her to a chair and made her play games with me..."
"Her eyes are very red when I checked them you know."
Mel- "She was probably already tired from dealing with school and her mom."
"Mel, even if that was the case, we still can't have her doing things that can make her condition worse than it already is."
Mel sighs and nods.
"I'm going to finish making dinner, get yourself cleaned up after you finish organizing your room."
Mel- "Okay mom.."
With that she leaves and Mel continues to put his game stuff away.
It didn't take him that long since his room is already organized.
All thanks to his mother's constant lectures on why his room must be nice and kept.
After he finishes, he goes to the restroom to wash his hands and his face before going back to lay on his bed for a bit.
And he can't help but notice something.
Its been a while since I was able to play that game..
He thinks to himself as he stares up at the ceiling.
The last time I was able to play that game was when my friends came over.
But I haven't really seen them since last summer..
He sighs a bit as he turns his head a bit to look out the window.
The sun is still up but he can tell that it's going to set within a few hours.
He's hoping that they can keep playing after dinner but his mother is very strict on bed time.
Unless he puts a towel under the door frame and turns off the volume so she doesn't hear them.
