Chapter 27

Rindou went to Star's place because he wanted to talk..

She couldn't really listen to what he had to say but she knows what he's trying to do..

But why did he do it?

He had no business getting between them if he knew that Star wanted to keep distance from him.

She didn't even need to explain herself to him..

He is a delinquent and she was a student and just wanted to avoid him..

What more does he need from all of that?

"Ugh, my head...."

Star rubs the sides of her head as she places her elbows on her desk.

She tried to find more information that can lead her to Bonten's current whereabouts but she couldn't shake off the memories from the past and next thing she knows, she ends up having a huge migraine.

She tries to drink some more of her coffee but it keeps getting worse and worse.

"I guess I'll take something for this then...."

She gets up and walks over to her bag to take an ibuprofen.

As well as another medication she keeps in her bag whenever she ends up having flashbacks.

Star tries not to dig too deep but she can't help it.

Even though she can't 100% remember what happened after that day, she knows that her life changed after that.

And she blames Ran and Rindou for it.

If only they had just taken the hint and stayed away..

She would have never left.

And now she has to accept the fact that she lost her best friend and she has to move on from all this.

But it was so hard.

Everything that she tried to do with (Y/N) just brought back too many painful memories.

Whenever she went to school.

The foods that they would go eat.

Even the places that they would go to.

It was all too painful to bear.

"I guess I should go home after this.."

She tells herself as she puts a pill on her palm, getting ready to swallow it.

But once she swallows it, she will most likely need to catch a cab to get home or maybe ask a friend of hers to let her spend the night.

Star takes a deep breath to prepare to swallow the pill until all of a sudden..

*BEEEEEP*

She hears an alert on her laptop and walks over to it.

"What's going on now??"

She looks at the screen and clicks on a few things to find out why her laptop is going off until all of a sudden.
