((A/N: Like I mentioned, the rest of the book should be smooth sailing after finally getting rid of my writer's block. But I don't want to make any promises.))

Star's mother turns left to enter the parking structure at her job so she can park at her usual spot.
She groans a bit as she turns off the car and gathers her belongings.
She then reaches under the passenger seat to grab the umbrella only to realize.
"Oh, right.....Star has it."
She then sits back for a moment as she looks at her watch.
I managed to make it 10 minutes early than my supposed estimated arrival..
I suppose sitting here for a moment won't hurt.
She leans her seat back a bit to try and relax before going inside the building.
She is currently under a lot of stress so she tries to calm herself down.
But no mater what she does, she can't stop thinking about what she just did.
And the more she thinks about it..
The more angry she gets at herself.
I can't believe I just made Star walk all the way to school in the rain...
What kind of mother am I?...
She feels the guilt settle in and tries to fight back the tears but fails and they accidentally slips out.
Damn, my mascara is going to run down my cheeks...
She then reaches into her bag to grab some tissues to pat her tears off her face without ruining her make up.
Luckily her mascara didn't run down her cheeks.
Or else she is going to have to remove all her makeup and reapply it in the restroom.
And from what she had to put herself through, she does not have that amount of time.
Even if her makeup is very minimal.
I just wished it didn't have to be this way..
She thinks to herself.
I know the rain isn't so bad but the school was still so far from where we were..
And I hate being like this towards my child.
But I can't lose my job...
I wanted to tell my boss so many things..
But I just can't..
If I say anything and it angers him, he'll fire me and I'll struggle to look for a job again.
