Will didn't go to school for the following few weeks. The Party were worried so they visited Will to make sure he was okay. Max visited more than the others. Mike, however, being Will's boyfriend didn't visit Will at all.
Will missed him very much. He wished Mike would just visit because it began to hurt alot Mike not coming over.
One date when Will Byers was home alone, Mike came. The doorbell rang and Will went to answer it. He expected it to be Max. When he opened the door he almost cried. It was Mike with a bouquet of red roses in his hand. "Mike!" Will exclaimed as he gave his boyfriend a big hug. "Careful! You'll squash your flowers!" Mike said. "Sorry, I'm just so happy to see you! Come in!" Will pulled Mike inside and sat him down on the sofa.
The two boys were silent. "I'm sorry, Will." Mike whispered. Will reached out to take Mike's hand. "No Mike. I'm sorry. I was feeling fed up and I took it all out on you and you didn't deserve it." Will told him. Mike smiled at his boyfriend. "I missed you so much Will. I'm sorry for not coming over." Mike apologized. "It's fine Mike. At least you're here now," Will said, still holding Mike's hand and smiling at him.
"God, I love you so much. So much Will, you don't even know. I am really scared I'm gong to loose you and I don't want to. I know I haven't been Mr. Perfect Boyfriend lately but I will change if you want me to. I want to be perfect, I want us to be perfect," Mike told him. "Mike. No one is ever perfect. And I like the way you are. I love the way you are. Nothing can change your opinion about me. Nothing," Will said.
"I love you, Byers"
"I love you too, Wheeler."
The two boys cuddled up on the sofa and Will quickly drifted to sleep on Mike's chest. Mike smiled down at his sleeping boyfriend.
You must know that Mike came over not to see Will but to break up with him. But, seeing Will made Mike change his mind. He loved Will. And that's the truth.
